☀️ Turning Detention Ponds into Community Gems!☀️ In our developments, we've taken a unique approach to our detention ponds. Rather than settling for the conventional grass or rocks, our team has created an exciting amenity for the city. In Tooele, we've transformed one of our detention ponds into a corn hole area, for some outdoor fun for residents. Now, we're stepping up the game with an upcoming pickleball court! But we're not done yet. What's should our next detention pond be? What would you like in your neighborhood? Share your thoughts below. #CommunityDevelopment #Realestate #realestatedeveloping #UrbanPlanning #OutdoorRecreation

The success of a project can be measured in many ways, but ultimately it comes down to whether or not the project achieved its intended goals and objectives especially helping the ones in need. This made us smile. ‘All respondents to the follow-on survey agreed that the project had increased the volume of social interactions and helped them meet new people’ Promoting mental health requires eliminating isolation as a crucial first step. Note: I’m fortunate to work with a good team that delivers. #mentalhealth #projectmanagement
Thank you to the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner for their support towards FURD Centre for Development. Today marks the successful completion of the programme with 36 sessions attended by over 30 beneficiaries. The retention rate of 95% indicates that most participants have successfully completed the programme, with only a few being relocated to another area as part of their asylum process. Our coaches, support staff, volunteers, and partners deserve a big congratulations and thank you for their contributions to this project.

In District 18 (Alameda, Emeryville, and Oakland), I am dedicated to fostering community policing. I am convinced that the Community Policing Act, a bill I am proposing, will be a game-changer for our district and California as a whole. This act will make it mandatory for all police officers (excluding detectives and undercover officers) to live in the cities and counties they serve. This approach will encourage trust and collaboration between citizens and law enforcement through shared experiences such as living, working, attending school, and shopping together. To make this a reality, the state of California, counties, and cities will allocate funds and create housing opportunities for our committed police officers. Additionally, the state will make foreclosed homes available to police officers to ensure they can reside in the communities they serve. The Community Policing Act aims to build trust and teamwork between citizens and law enforcement, reduce incidents of police brutality, decrease and prevent crime, and bolster police recruitment. #CommunityPolicing #BuildingTrust #PoliceReform #CaliforniaPolice #CommunityCollaboration #PublicSafety #PoliceHousing #LawEnforcementIntegration
