ARE YOU SURE YOUR FUND HAS NOT BEEN MOVED TO CBN? Yesterday, I had the privilege of being interviewed by SOUQ NEWS TV, where I shared my insights on the new Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines issued on July 19, 2024, regarding the Management of Dormant Accounts, Unclaimed Balances, and Other Financial Assets in Banks and Other Financial Institutions in Nigeria. During our discussion, I delved into the intricate details of these guidelines, examining their implications for account owners, financial institutions, and the CBN, as well as the long-term benefits they could bring to our economy. Account owners, it's crucial to be aware that if you do not initiate any transactions (withdrawals or deposits) on your account for 10 years or more, and your account meets the criteria set by the CBN, the balance in that account will be transferred to the CBN. You might be wondering: "What can I do to avoid this? How will I know if my funds have been moved to the CBN? What steps should I take to reclaim my funds?" It is not enough that those in the first category feel threatened by talents, they slyly work hard to diminish such talent with every opportunity they get. When they don't diminish it, they falsify the veracity of that talent. Talent that is nurtured to the point of automation is unaffected by dimunition. At the end of the day, it is the environment where it seeks expression that suffers. Mind you, talent doesn't dwell in a place where it is met with corporate hostility and toxicity for a long time. That's akin to pouring new wine outdated bottles. It's for this reason that the 'Japa market' in Nigeria is booming,and the consequences are well felt and documented. #Talent #AdamGrant

Despite the volume, accessing financial services and sending money across borders is still a big challenge. This is why we are building Hurupay, a digital wallet enabling African migrants to make instant and affordable cross-border money transactions and access dollar saving accounts among other financial needs.

Africanshops was also inspired by innovating a seamless environment to improve discoverability of goods and services and thus improving the ease of doing business which is a major issue around businesses within Nigeria and indeed Africa especially around Trans Border trades. The goals and problems "Africanshops" intends to accomplish and solve includes * providing an efficient trade zone within the African state to ease trans-border trades all powered by a digital platform introduced here today. * To further provide a digital powered platform to enhance logistics and increase the efficiency of service and product deliveries to consumers * To use the markets across member states as points of development and production chains to build a productive region. *To further build a finance ecosystem that will power businesses, create low interest credit facilities to farmers and producers around Nigeria and Africa at large to increase and improve access to credit facilities * To utilize this platform to further reach out to other development yardsticks like education, health and security within our localities to make these hinterlands more habitable and convenient to help mitigate urban migration so that these locals can see themselves more as power blocks rather than menial labourers. The value chains for development and wealth creation on this project are boundless. And I do hope I get to touch the minds of people who would love to be collaborators on this noble idea.. maybe I might have dreamt too big, but then, I always tell myself this: "what is life without dreams?"...If it has to take a lifetime to build this, I'll build on it little by little everyday.
