Today, we're featuring this question on maximum depths for colloidal carbon injected PRBs, and the answer provided by our VP of Technology Eliot Cooper. Question: Have you established any practical limits on maximum depths for colloidal carbon injected PRBs? Answer: We're designing PRB projects that go down to 190-foot flux zones to cut off PFAS leaving the property. Being the national leader in sonic drilling, depth really is not an issue for Cascade for either well installation or targeting bedrock fractures. Direct push has also achieved greater than 100 feet depending on lithology.  We can also implement flux measurements in transmissive zone wells at these depths or for shallower DPT locations, we can also use our WaterlooAPS discreet sampling technology. Safety of Commercial Sodium-ion Cells with Judith Jeevarajan from UL Research Institutes. This presentation will cover how: Commercial Na-ion cells were tested for performance and safety at ESRI. Performance tests included two different charge/discharge rates and three different temperatures. Safety tests included overcharge, overdischarge, external short circuits, and heating tests. I'm excited to announce the publication of our manuscript, "Suppressing the Thermal Conductivity to Enhance the Thermoelectric Performance of SnSe2 using the High-Energy Ball Milling in a Pressurised N2 Atmosphere," in the Journal of Materials Research and Technology. We significantly improved the thermoelectric (TE) performance of 2D layered SnSe2 by reducing particle size from ∼2 μm to 100 nm using high-energy ball milling in a pressurized N2 atmosphere. This process increased electrical conductivity ninefold at room temperature (RT) while reducing the Seebeck coefficient by only 40%, boosting the power factor from 12 to 42 μW/m·K². Thermal conductivity decreased from 5.72 to 0.40 W/m·K, raising the figure of merit fortyfold. Single-leg modules showed higher power generation, especially below RT, with the 7-h milled module generating 2600 nW at ΔT = 45 K above RT and 8000 nW below RT, demonstrating potential for cold environments. https://lnkd.in/dCzbRusM

The interesting part is the penetration depth as well as the pink-ish volume rendering, which corresponds to the cloud of entrained air bubbles that develops around the jet, the black is simply a 2D slice of bubble concentration. This is simulation is part of validation work for our dynamic bubble size model we presented last summer at IAHR in Vienna, happy to forward the presentation if interested! Cheers all
