Analysing dissolved metal concentrations in a water sample is important for several reasons. Dissolved metals are more mobile and can be more easily taken up by organisms, while total metals include both dissolved and bound forms of metals. Responsible building operators should encourage smarter water use, both inside and outside their facilities. SFTool recently added new guidance on Net Zero Water to the Building Water Use page. Net Zero Water refers to the concept of balancing water demand with water availability. Additional content was also updated on the New Grounds/Landscape Tab, and the Facility-Wide Tab Green Dots.
