It’s not long to go now until our next People people networking event at Projects Lanes in central Brighton. If you work within the #hr space and would like to make new local #connections, or catch up with some familiar faces, please come and join us at 5pm, on Tuesday, November 7th! There’ll be no agenda, breakout groups or sales pitches - and that’s a pinky promise!
Register in advance for FREE via our Eventbrite link (see comments).
Myself, Helen Monk and Liz Dollin thought we’d share why we decided to start People people, in case it helps to inform anyone who’s currently undecided about whether or not to attend...
Liz: “I was looking for a space to problem solve openly with likeminded people without having to sell myself, or be sold a service or product. I immediately clicked with Steph and Helen as they were non-judgmental, provided a real listening experience, and made me laugh. I’m proud to count them as friends as well as professional colleagues who I deeply respect.”
Helen: “I’ve known Liz and Steph for a few years and they’ve become great friends and sounding boards when HR roles can feel quite isolated at times. Setting up a networking group with no other agenda other than to chat and share experiences in a safe space was what led us to start People people.”
Steph: “I love it when you meet people and just know that they’re kindred spirits - that’s what I felt when I met Helen and Liz. Chatting to them keeps my work self sane, but through this, we’ve also developed a lovely, meaningful friendship. We started People people to spread that magic and facilitate other beautiful connections across our sector and city!”
