Why should nurses care about care plans? Practicing nurses will tell students constantly "no one uses those after school," leaving students to wonder why they should bother learning about care plans in the first place. I'll tell you! A well-crafted nursing care plan is what elevates your nursing practice from a list of orders and tasks to a holistic, patient-centered, proactive practice. It's where you start preventing problems rather than just putting out fires. The fact is though, you're already in the fire. So this all sounds nice but you don't have one more minute, let alone space in your brain, to dig into nursing care plans, learn new diagnoses, etc. I know this, and I've got you! NurseFlow 360 will help you generate relevant, comprehensive care plans with just a click. You put in the medical diagnosis and our AI powered agent does the rest. This might be the most useful you click you make all shift. Our waitlist is open and I hope you'll sign up if you are a nurse: especially student nurses, nurse educators, preceptors, and float/travel nurses. This product is built by a nurse for nurses and I would be honored to have your feedback as we move forward. #nurses #nursingpractice #careplans #patientcentered #nursingprocess nurseflow360.xyz

Registered Nurse, BScN | Energy Medicine Practitioner | Supporting Burnout Recovery & Emotional Balance | Empowering Nurses, Changing Lives
Kicking off Nurses Week with heartfelt gratitude for all the incredible nurses out there — your dedication is nothing short of inspiring! I just got home from an evening at the hospital and I can’t stop thinking about this: We, as nurses, often prioritize everyone else’s well-being over our own. Overwhelmed and overworked, we tend to neglect our self-care, which is crucial, yet overlooked in our training. Why isn’t there a dedicated class on self-care in nursing school? The demands of our job are not only physical but also mental, emotional, and spiritual. If we can’t take care of ourselves, how can we possibly hope to offer the best care to our patients? Despite our deep understanding of human physiology and pharmacology, many of us aren’t equipped to manage our well-being holistically. Imagine the benefits for not only nurses but also for the patients, if such education were included from the start. In our overtasked and understaffed healthcare system, it’s high time we made it mandatory to teach our future nurses comprehensive self-care strategies—not just through brief workshops, but as a consistent, integrated part of our education. Let’s commit to equipping nurses with the tools they need to sustain their health and prevent burnout. As someone who already implements these self-care strategies with my migraine clients, I know firsthand the impact they can have. If you're interested in bringing these practices into our nursing education, or if you’ve thought about implementing similar strategies, please reach out. We need to talk more and make a real change together! #nursesweek #foodforthought

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 I've had the pleasure of educating in various settings as an educator. I taught advanced medsurg and the accompanying simulation portion within an academic nursing school. Introduced nurses to the rewarding field of dialysis and transplant and the unique skills that come with the field. Worked with newly licensed nurses, reinforced skills they already knew, and introduced new ones. And my favourite area to teach is fundamental nursing care to patient care techniques, and nursing aids. There are many benefits to teaching, and for me, they include: • Keeping me humble • Making a difference • Sense of fulfilment • Personal growth • Impact on others Nursing education is a challenging yet deeply rewarding profession that offers opportunities for personal and professional growth and the chance to impact the lives of others positively. There is a growing shortage in the nursing field, a trend expected to intensify in the coming years. With experienced nurses leaving the profession and new recruits unable to keep pace, the demand for qualified healthcare professionals continues to outstrip supply. One key factor exacerbating this issue is the insufficient number of nursing faculty. Many aspiring nurses are turned away from schools due to a lack of educators. The allure of better compensation in the private sector often pulls nurses away from academia, further straining the system. To address this pressing shortage, it is imperative to focus on meeting thr needs of nursing faculty. By tackling this challenge head-on, we can help ensure a steady pipeline of nurses to meet the escalating demands of the healthcare industry. Building a Stronger Nursing Practice: Lessons from Reflection. During a recent coaching session for internationally recruited nurses, we were invited to choose from a set of cards, each representing something about ourselves or our current situation. The three cards I chose led to a powerful reflection on my journey as a nurse. The first card I picked was of a bookshelf, which immediately reminded me of my love for reading. There was a time when I read a variety of random books, but I’ve since shifted my focus to those that align with my profession. This transition has been crucial in deepening my nursing knowledge and staying up to date with advancements in healthcare. The second card was an image of a porter, symbolizing the importance of constantly honing my nursing skills. As healthcare professionals, we owe it to our patients to provide the best care possible. This means committing to continuous learning and undertaking regular training to refine and enhance our expertise. The last card depicted telephone booths, a reminder that it’s okay to ask for help when we are unsure of the next step. In healthcare, teamwork and support are essential, and there’s always someone ready to lend their expertise when needed. We don't have to go through challenges alone; support is everywhere if we’re willing to reach out. This exercise reinforced key values that I believe all healthcare professionals should embrace: a commitment to learning, skill-building, and knowing when to seek help. By focusing on these principles, we can provide the highest standard of care to our patients. #Nursing ##ProfessionalDevelopment #ContinuousLearning #InternationalNurses #Teamwork #SelfReflection
