Each donation is assessed a flat 5% administrative fee. If the donation is by credit card a 3% card processing charge is assessed prior to assessing the administrative fee. We do our best to keep overhead and expenses low so funds can get where they are needed; directly to the project. 🤝Become a recurring monthly donor at a number that works for you. https://lnkd.in/gqUdS_V2

Welcome to our new followers! Allow us to introduce ourselves and share our mission with you. Cross Catholic Outreach is an official Vatican-endorsed Catholic ministry that collaborates with bishops, priests, religious, and lay workers worldwide. Last year, more than 94% of all organizational expenses, including donated goods, went directly to programs that help the poor. Our mission is to extend aid, along with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the most impoverished communities in over 30 countries. We partner with aid organizations employing a community-oriented strategy, aiming to enhance the self-sufficiency of those in need. For larger, advanced partners, we provide financial and material resources, overseeing critical functions like financial monitoring, reporting, and accountability. These partners establish a crucial grassroots connection within communities, essential for effective humanitarian aid. For smaller-scale partners we offer support through their existing programs, ensuring meaningful assistance reaches where it is needed most. Our approach allows us to leverage community outreach to serve the poor. In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and we advance Catholic evangelization. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gyuUNjU9

ICYMI. #Torontonian, #Ontarian, #Canadian LIF, if you can, please do: "Tomorrow is the last day to double your impact on #housing as a #humanright in #Canada! If you become a monthly donor before July 1, 2024, a generous donor will match your gift up to $10,000 for the next two months! Your monthly gift, at any amount, makes a tremendous difference for our capacity to make the human right to housing real in Canada. This means your gift today will have double the impact in: -- Strengthening #tenantprotection (like #rentcontrol) -- Amplifying the voices of marginalized #communities -- Ensuring #governments build not just housing –- but #affordablehousing -- Holding #government accountable for their obligation to treat housing as a fundamental human right for all Our Network partners have already achieved so much recently, including securing the largest #federal #investment into #affordable #coophousing we’ve seen in 30 years, Canada’s very first review into the #financialization of housing, and a #moratorium on #evictions in #Quebec. The #NHRN is sitting at the centre of the #housingjustice movement, advocating with governments, building capacity, and creating opportunities for collaboration by those who champion the human right to housing. This is just the beginning. We are seeing so much progress in fully realizing housing as a human right in Canada, but there is so much coordination and advocacy left to do. With your support, we can get there faster. Thank you so much in advance for your unwavering support. In solidarity, #NationalRighttoHousingNetwork" #SDoH #ROIpublicpolicy #ROIhousingfunding #housingisahumanright #housingforall #systemichomelessness #systemicpoverty #constituentsrights #homelessvote #tenantsvote #rentersvote #homeownersvote #PWDvote #seniorsvote #familiesvote #constituentsvote #bodypolitic #societalvalues #inclusivecommunities #dignity #respect #humanity #TOpoli #GTHApoli #onpoli #cdnpoli #globalimpact

On this March 1st, 105th anniversary of Korean Independence Movement Day, I plead with you to stand with Pal3stine. By (continuing to/) calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, and donating to humanitarian relief. Tomorrow, March 2nd is International Day of Action for Palestine. I'll be at LA City Hall for our regional/city action. If you'd like help ✊🏽 finding an action (whether in-person or through email/phone) or 💸 where to donate to help (linking article here about how humanitarian aid does indeed get to folks it's intended for, even if it's complex) Please don't hesitate to comment or DM me. The death toll in the genocide in G@za just surpassed 30,000. Researchers predict more than 74,000 people will die over the next 6 months due to violence and disease (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health as reported by Washington Post on 2/23/24). We don't have to lose 100,000 lives in 10 months, but that's the direction we're headed in. This post is not about religion or politics or a history lesson. There are people far better at doing that than me. This is about humanity. YOUR humanity, OUR humanity as much as it is about the human beings who deserve to live and not be annihilated in a cruel and heinous manner as a form of collective punishment. I can't sit here and celebrate Korean Independence and everything my ancestors fought for, were tortured and killed for while we continue to witness violence from so many colonial regimes and projects. My ancestors ask me to act and stand in solidarity, and this post is a small form of honoring collective liberation, Pal3stine, my heritage and myself. #ceasefirenow https://lnkd.in/gNcpsRMr

Since October, heartbreak has been a predominant feeling. As an Israeli deeply invested in the future of my country and region, the devastation is paralyzing, and the road to rebuilding seems incredibly long. BUT, I've learned that for me, the best way is forward - collaborating and applying my skills purposefully. Luckily, this is also true for my partner in (work) life Bar Pereg. Like many others, we have channeled our sense of helplessness into action over the past months. Committed to contributing meaningful value as Israel rebuilds, we aim to help create a better society and economy - not just for Israel, but as a model for the region and the world through the Future Resilience Fund (#FRF). At #FRF our focus is on ensuring we rebuild better than before October 7th and catalyze change locally, regionally, and globally. FRF is already backing remarkable local organizations in Israel and the region that are developing rapid, sustainable solutions. Our aim is to inject more strategic, catalytic capital into the ecosystem, amplifying the impact of these innovative efforts. This initiative is the fruit of months of collaboration with numerous partners - we're deeply grateful for everyone's involvement. For updates, follow PollyLabs and check out FRF's new website (link in comments). We welcome connections to relevant partners - let's explore how we can make a difference together. 🎗️ #FutureResilienceFund #IsraelRebuilding #TechForGood Ella Drory, MBA, MPA Uri Meidan, Perry Teicher, Mark Donig, Vicki Michaeli, Omer Bab, Danielle Capalino, Alon L.

In the past months, I have been a party pooper - not a role I'm used to playing. Ever since we published our future scenarios report, I found myself again and again in a position where I talked through the various plausible futures for Israel and the region. It's rarely an easy conversation. Not because all options are bad, but because the bad options are very bad and they are unfortunately very plausible. Many times folks then ask - "So what can we do?" My answer - always the same: prepare yourself / your organization for all possible futures, and work as hard as you can toward the future you would like to see in the world. What it actually means then must depend on who you are, what future you want to see, and what's your unique role and passion in the world. For me - I want to see Israel building back to be a better society and economy than what it was before. I also wish the same thing for the entire region - because it's all interconnected. I know that there are politics, and policy, and stuff needs to get done on this level for this to happen - but where I focus it's about (1) putting tech to work in service of reducing avoidable suffering and building more resilient, prosperous economies; (2) ensuring that we are rebuilding better than what existed before October 7th; and (3) developing solutions and models that can be adapted and implemented worldwide. This week, we (finally) announced PollyLabs' new philanthropic initiative in the Middle East - The Future Resilience Fund (#FRF), led by the one and only Alina Shkolnikov. Through FRF, we are already supporting incredible local organizations in Israel and the region that are developing solutions with the potential to scale rapidly and sustainably. FRF has been in the works for months and months and was born out of collaboration and partnership with dozens (yes, dozens) of organizations and individuals, some of whom are tagged here, most are not. We are grateful to everyone involved and excited to partner with you all. Follow PollyLabs' page for updates, check FRF new website in the comment, let us know if there are people and/or organizations (non-for-profit, for-profit, or donors) that you think we should know, and reach out if you want to learn more/think of ways we can partner Alina Shkolnikov Ella Drory, MBA, MPA Uri Meidan Perry Teicher Danielle Capalino Alon L.
