When the US Bill of Rights was drafted and ratified, it was in response to public fears about the security of individuals' rights. The pace and reach of AI development might spark similar feelings for many people. As all this evolves, it's important to continue to find the balance between exploration and innovation, and protection and tradition. That balance is often on a razor's edge. I've worked with the team at WaitWhat for a long time and have known them to be incredibly high-integrity, always looking out for individual rights and the public good. So it's no surprise to me that their team has taken a crack at drafting "The Listener's Bill of Rights in the Age of AI." It brings up some important points, and ultimately is seeking that fine balance I mention above. This space will continue to evolve as quickly as AI does, so these points will be tested and likely nudge this into being a living, growing document. I applaud this artifact for the conversations it may start—and hope it does.
