🏳️🌈 At Volvo Autonomous Solutions, we believe that diversity and inclusion are key components towards innovation. By embracing diverse perspectives, we can unlock new ideas, challenge the status quo and drive creativity. As we celebrate Pride Month, it's crucial to recognize that inclusion goes beyond words – it's about creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be their authentic selves. As part of the Volvo Group, our employees have access to the network V-EAGLE, Volvo Group’s network of LGBTQIA employees and allies from companies across the Group. The network provides support for all LGBTQIA employees and runs workshops for all Volvo Group entities – covering topics such as gender identity, sexual orientation and how to be a more inclusive colleague. Together, Let's continue to champion diversity, celebrate our differences and build a more inclusive and equitable future. #VolvoAutonomousSolutions #VAS #GuidedBySafety

Let’s walk the talk on diversity and inclusion for real. I had the great pleasure to discuss important questions with the Volvo Group V-EAGLE network for LGBTQAI members and allies earlier this week. In a nutshell: 👉 Why should LGBTQAI diversity matter in the workplace? - Because everyone should feel safe to come to work as who they are, feel safe at work, respected, and be included. 👉 In 2024, do you think our society has reached full inclusion in the workplace already? - No, unfortunately, in my view more work on this is needed. 👉 What tips can you give to people to become more inclusive colleagues and leaders? - Let’s respect everyone for who they are and include them. It is as simple as that. 👉 LGBTQAI people who don’t feel comfortable with being “out” in the workplace, what do you want to say to them? - Sometimes I am sure this can be easier said than done. With full respect for everyone who is not ready, or who does not want to, coming out is a personal choice. But if you want to come out and feel more ready, look for other members and allies – there are many to connect with. And join the LGBTQAI community in your workplace, to feel supported but also to support others. I would say that this could be a good starting point. 👉 You have consistently attended the Pride parade in Gothenburg every year since 2017. What was it that made you join the first West Pride parade, and what made you come back every year? - For me as a person, and as a leader, diversity and inclusion really matter. So, when I joined the Volvo Group in 2017, it was very natural for me to also join the West Pride parade in Gothenburg. Since then, many of my colleagues in the Volvo Group Executive Board have joined me. And we can see the number of LGBTQAI members and allies in the Group growing every year. In fact, the Pride parade has very much become a family party celebrating everyone’s uniqueness and right to be respected and included as who they are. Together in picture below with Özgün Yılmazok and Yoann Landraudie, both engaged in our important LGBTQAI V-EAGLE network globally. #weareVolvoGroup #VolvoGroupPurchasing #Diversity #Inclusion

I connect people toward a common cause as an external affairs leader, currently for Toyota North America. Public Affairs Strategist: Process Improvement | People Connector | External Multicultural Affairs
💡Respect for people. That’s it. That’s the “tweet”. But it also happens to be one of Toyota’s guiding principles, and pillars that have buttressed this innovative company for nearly 100 years. So I’d say it’s more than lip/tweet service. 🏳️🌈 As an ally, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the colorful tapestry of Pride Month unfold at Toyota. Here are my reflections: 🚘 Unity Beyond Differences: Pride Month reminds us that unity transcends political boundaries. Just as Toyota vehicles come in various models, colors, and features, so do people. Our shared humanity binds us together, regardless of our beliefs. 👂🏽Respecting Individual Journeys: Like a well-engineered transmission, acceptance shifts gears smoothly. As an ally, I respect each person’s unique journey. Pride Month encourages us to listen, learn, and appreciate diverse perspectives. 🗺️ Roads Less Traveled: Just as Toyota explores innovative roads in automotive technology, we can explore empathy and understanding. Supporting LGBTQ colleagues doesn’t compromise our values; it enriches our workplace and community. 👷🏿♀️Safety and Inclusion: Safety features in our cars protect passengers. Similarly, creating an inclusive environment safeguards everyone. Let’s ensure that our workplaces and communities are safe spaces for all, regardless of sexual orientation or identity. 🌉Driving Forward: Pride Month isn’t about politics; it’s about celebrating love, resilience, and authenticity. As an ally, I’m committed to driving forward—to a world where acceptance bridges gaps and compassion fuels progress. 🙏🏽Thank you to my team and our strategic partners that help us to continuously improve in this area. I know enough to know that I have a lot more to learn, but I’m appreciative of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters for their patience and friendship. What were some ways, big or small, you created an inclusive environment? #LoveDrives #LifeatToyota #DEI #Spectrum #LetsGoPlaces Point Foundation Human Rights Campaign North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce LGBTQ Victory Institute Out & Equal Los Angeles LGBT Center Resource Center

I believe in actively contributing to fostering an environment where every individual, regardless of their background, identity, or orientation, feels safe, respected, and valued. Being an ally or member of employee inclusion networks is a commitment to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of the world we live in and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. It means standing up for colleagues who may face discrimination or bias based on their identity or background and lending a voice to those who may not yet feel comfortable speaking out. These networks help to foster an environment where differences are not only accepted but celebrated. This, in turn, leads to increased creativity, and a broader perspective in problem-solving, which are critical for our organization's success in an ever-changing world. This week we highlight employee inclusion networks within the Volvo Group, such as V-EAGLE - our LGBTQIA network, WIN - Women’s Network, ACES - Early Career Network, MCNS - Multicultural Network, and the network of Diverse Abilities. How do you support employee inclusion where you work? #wearevolvogroup #DEI #inclusion

How the automotive industry is making Vorsprung in diversity The automotive industry is traditionally perceived as male-dominated and socially conservative, but some companies are doing surprisingly well in diversity and inclusion. Audi has implemented a robust diversity strategy, outperforming industries typically viewed as more progressive. In its 2023 report, Audi highlights substantial progress in the visibility and empowerment of the LGBTIQ community. The company refers to this progress as "Vorsprung," or advancement, rather than conventional DE&I terminology. Why? Because Audi recognizes the tangible benefits of diversity in achieving greater results in the long run. As the company puts it "Diversity is a marathon, not a sprint".

🌈🌟 Celebrating Pride Month: Embracing Diversity & Inclusion 🌟🌈 As we celebrate Pride Month, I am reminded of the immense value that Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) brings to both society and high-performing companies like #Capgemini. Why does it matter ? * #Inclusion Fuels #Innovation: Diverse teams drive innovation. When we embrace different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, we unlock creativity and find groundbreaking solutions. Pride Month reminds us to celebrate our unique identities and harness them for collective progress. * Attracting Top #Talent: Companies that prioritize D&I attract top talent. Talented individuals seek workplaces where they feel accepted, respected, and valued. By fostering an inclusive environment, we create a magnet for exceptional professionals. * Enhancing #Employee Morale and Productivity: When employees feel seen, heard, and included, their morale soars. Happy employees are more productive, engaged, and committed to their work. Pride Month encourages us to uplift our colleagues and create a positive workplace culture. At #Capgemini we are proud of our commitment to D&I with notably our #Inclusive #Policies that ensure equal rights and treatment for all employees, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. From parental leave to professional growth opportunities, everyone has a seat at the table. We have as well our Our in-house networks, such as #OutFront, organizing conferences, reverse mentoring sessions, and awareness campaigns. These initiatives educate our workforce and promote understanding. Together, we can create workplaces where everyone thrives. #HappyPrideMonth 🏳️🌈🤝

The Importance of Celebrating Coming Out Day and Other LGBTQIA Milestones in the Corporate World In the vast tapestry of human experiences, the thread of diversity weaves a pattern of incredible complexity and beauty. Each strand, be it based on gender, race, sexual orientation, or any other facet of identity, contributes to the rich mosaic of our collective experience. Yet, history reveals that many of these threads have been marginalized, overlooked, or outright persecuted. Hence, the significance of commemorating days like Coming Out Day and other LGBTQIA milestones, especially in corporate environments. 1. An Ode to Courage and Authenticity Coming Out Day, at its core, is a testament to the immense courage it takes for someone to be authentic in the face of societal prejudice. In a corporate setting, recognizing this day signals to employees that authenticity is valued, that it is okay—nay, encouraged—to be oneself without the looming shadow of retribution. 2. The Power of Representation When companies celebrate LGBTQIA milestones, they send a resounding message about representation. These events become much more than mere calendar markings; they amplify voices that have historically been hushed, assuring employees that every hue of the human spectrum has a rightful place in the corporate arena. 3. Cultivating an Inclusive Culture Fostering a culture of inclusivity is not just about passive acceptance but active celebration. By commemorating such occasions, corporates sow seeds of mutual respect and understanding, thereby cultivating a workspace where innovation thrives, not despite diversity, but because of it. 4. Beyond Tolerance to Empowerment Merely tolerating diversity is passé. The contemporary corporate mandate leans toward empowerment. Recognizing LGBTQIA events heralds a corporate ethos where employees are not just 'allowed' to be themselves, but they are empowered to be their fullest, most vibrant selves. 5. Remembering All Minorities While emphasizing LGBTQIA milestones, it becomes crucial not to eclipse the importance of celebrating other minorities. Each minority group has its tapestry of struggles and triumphs, and recognizing them is pivotal in creating a holistic inclusive environment. From racial to religious minorities, from differently-abled individuals to those with diverse cultural backgrounds—every day of commemoration reminds us of the broader spectrum of humanity. 6. The Economic Imperative Beyond the moral compulsion, there's an economic imperative to embracing diversity. Diverse teams have been consistently shown to be more innovative, more adaptable, and more successful. For some individuals, some of your colleagues, some of the people in your team, some of your customers, diversity and inclusion matters every single day. And because it matters to them, it should matter to you. It should matter to everyone. #DiversityAndInclusion #diversity #inclusion #intersectionality #belonging #InclusionTraining #InclusionWorkshops #EDI #InclusiveLeadership #InclusiveRecruiting [video shows Inclusive Recruiting's CEO Vanessa (she/her) speaking at an event in front of an audience, with screens behind her saying "Do the right thing.
