🎁 Yesterday, I attended a prize-giving event at my daughter's school, Where Year 6 students were sent off to start the next chapter of their lives, While Year 5's were assigned new responsibilities before stepping into Year 6. As the Head Mistress announced new roles for Year 5, I observed a mix of emotions… Some kids leapt with joy, While others struggled to hide their tears. My daughter's friend has dreamt of becoming a Head Girl since her first day at school. She is confident, smart, funny, and intelligent. We all thought she will be the new Head Girl. But…it didn't happen. The Head Girl role went to someone else, leaving her heartbroken. Later that evening, I was speaking with my daughter, who asked… "Why do we need a badge and a title to help someone?" 🤔 I thought it was a profound question coming from a 10 year old (but then again, she is my daughter 😆 ), And it made me reflect on how often we chase titles, positions, stages (note to myself 😅 ), Thinking that its the only time we can make a difference? That somehow leadership is about the accolades and achievements, Rather than a mindset and a way of life? I think that sometimes, in our relentless pursuit of external results, We lose sight of something much more profound... We are eternal beings, having a human experiences, Not the other way around. Our worth and impact should never be defined by our achievements, But, by our ability to connect, grow, and be authentic in every moment. #leadership #mindset #lenathompson

Yet, despite the collective effort, many still choose to confine themselves within the limited boundaries of "मैं" (me/myself). They seem to miss the beauty of collaboration, the power of unity, and the importance of acknowledging the contributions of others. Imagine, instead of being that lone goat, standing on a hilltop proclaiming "मैं", being part of a symphony where each note complements the other, creating a masterpiece. Recognizing and appreciating the efforts of others doesn't diminish our own achievements; rather, it enhances them. It's a mark of wisdom and humility, showing that we value and respect the diversity of talents and perspectives around us.
