Per the Environment Analyst, there will be an "increased demand for support in areas such as risk identification, due diligence practices, supply chain management, circular economy, life cycle analysis and decarbonisation strategies/implementation." If your company hasn't begun to develop a plan to complete your ESG reporting, now is certainly the time to source a qualified specialist so that you are not fighting for talent as the clock ticks away. If you would like some additional information on what these positions would look like, average salary ranges, or simply need help sourcing the right talent then that is where Shirley Parsons can support. #CSDDD #CSRD #esgreporting #sustainabilityreporting

The introduction of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) has transformed the sustainability reporting landscape by requiring companies to report comprehensive data on their sustainability practices. These regulatory requirements have emphasized the need for reliable ESG reporting tools. This spring, five Aalto University Industrial Engineering and Management students conducted a strategic advisory project for KPMG about navigating the ESG landscape. The research was based on three central questions that focused on the current and future state of the ESG reporting market. 1) What tools and solutions are companies currently using for ESG reporting and why? 2) What features are companies looking for from future ESG tools and systems? 3) To what extent are companies willing to invest in ESG reporting systems? The research revealed that the market is still in its early stages, with widespread unpreparedness among companies. The recommendations highlight standout tools from the current ESG reporting market that fulfil critical features necessary for effective ESG reporting and are likely to meet the evolving needs of companies in the future. Thanks to the Aalto project team: Niklas Björkenheim, Venny Holmberg, Benjamin Kari, Jasmin Rapo, and Georg Rosenlew. #KPMG #ESG
