The expectation for people to show up fully and the lack of effort to create a safe work place is a conundrum. The former won’t happen until the latter is addressed. Safe work place consist of… 🔸being able to share ideas and perspectives without retribution - be it body language, distancing, pay stifling or promotion halting 🔸 removal of punitive measures: no punishing people for being sick or not being able to work late or sharing ideas that weren’t the best for the need 🔸implemented & respectful of boundaries, of both the company and the workers 🔸 validation of an experience - all won’t have the same experience but you don’t have to in order to validate another’s experience When we treat people like people, and not machines, we will have a more safe work place.
