Charting FemTech's growth with Audrey Tsang, CEO of Clue, at #VivaTech 🌎 "There is an immense gender health gap, and behind that is a gender data gap. A McKinsey & Company report recently found that women spend 25% more of their lifetime in poor health than men, largely because pathologies are undiagnosed or underdiagnosed. If we aim to close this gap, we need to add a trillion dollars to the global economy by 2030.” The key question is: How can we harness #FemTech innovations to address these disparities and effectively foster meaningful change? 🩺

The irony and humor in this article.. in an industry labeled 'FemTech', which inherently suggests a focus on female-centric technology and innovation, the push to attract more men seems... counterintuitive. The tech industry is predominantly male-dominated. The idea that a sector specifically designed to disrupt the status quo in women's health is seeking to increase male participation is paradoxical. It’s like flipping the script in an industry where women typically strive for greater representation. There’s a satirical element in focusing on male representation in FemTech, given that the broader healthcare and tech sectors are already male-dominated. Emphasizing the need for more men in a women-centric field humorously draws attention to how deeply ingrained male dominance is in the industry, to the point where even in 'FemTech', there's a perceived need for more male presence.

#GenAI is rapidly transforming the world as we know it, and senior women in tech functions are leading the way 👩💻. Our new global study featuring insights from over 6,500 tech professionals reveals that this group is 14 percentage points more likely to have adopted GenAI at work than their male counterparts. But their non-technical peers and junior women are falling behind. As we strive to #inspireinclusion this International Women’s Day, we believe that involving a broader spectrum of women in the early stages of GenAI is key to building a more equitable future. Keep an eye out for Boston Consulting Group (BCG)'s new report, which aims to shed light on the current state of GenAI adoption in the tech industry and provide actionable steps for positive impact. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2024 #GenerativeAI #WomenInTech

I am excited to share a teaser of BCG's upcoming report: Women in senior tech functions are taking the lead in GenAI adoption, surpassing men by 14 percentage points. This creates a significant opportunity towards closing the gender gap in the tech industry! However, early-career women and those outside of tech functions still face challenges in adopting GenAI. This report, co-authored by my colleagues Neveen Awad, Maria Barisano, Adriana Dahik, Julie Bedard and Uche M. will feature 6,500 tech professional worldwide. The report will focus on the adoption of GenAI in tech, including driving factors and actionable strategies for equitable adoption. Stay tuned for more! #internationalwomensday #generativeai #womenintech

Recently, we celebrated International Women's Day, an important occasion that highlights the achievements and challenges faced by women worldwide. However, it's crucial to also turn our attention to the gender biases present in emerging technologies. These biases not only reflect existing inequalities but can also amplify them if left unchecked. #ai #aibias #generatieveai
