Growing tomatoes in Spain with VitalFluid B.V. In Spain, a trial has started at the Las Palmerillas experimental station of CAJAMAR to cultivate tomatoes using VitalFluid units. This trial is part of the Cajamar Innova project which support startups to expand in Spain. Collaborating with Juan José Magán Cañadas, VitalFluid has devised a specialized fertilizer formula and implemented the VitalFluid pH controller to regulate the water's pH during irrigation. This approach aims to enhance control over water pH and bicarbonate levels, thereby facilitating improved nutrient uptake by the tomato plants' roots. Ultimately, the anticipated outcome is an augmented yield compared to conventional cultivation methods. #sustainableagriculture #sustainablefarming #tomato #spain

Improve low-fertility regions of fields by Cropinno productivity map What is the productivity map? The soil of your field is not equal in physical and chemical characteristics in all regions. Plants can not grow equally well in different zones of your field. At Cropinno, we extract your field soil conditions by satellite imagery from the past 5 years. Our smart platform analyzes data from these images with artificial intelligence to create a productivity map. This map shows the potential of your field in growing crops in the future. What's your benefit from this map? By taking a look at the history of your fields, you can make plans and decisions accurately. The productivity map helps you identify low and high fertility spots on your lands. You can improve soil conditions by using pre-planting fertilizers, and regulators and finding the best irrigation system according to the productivity of your field. Do you want to buy or rent a field?! If you are planning to buy or rent a field, the productivity map will be helpful since, at one glance, you can find the potential of your land for growing crops. The benefits of improving your field conditions before planting: 1) Make a comparison between different field spots 2) Find suitable management methods for low-yield areas 3) Minimize fertilizer for high-fertility zones Feel free to share your comments and reviews. Cropinno is now available on Cropinno.com.📢 You can join us and try all the premium features for free!🆓. #agriculture #farm #farming #precision_agriculture #smartagriculture #smartfarming #satellite_monitoring #fertillity #cropinno #soil #planting #fertilizer

Crop Steering During Vegetative Growth During this time frame, your young plants are developing their root zone and building biomass in preparation for flowering. Due to the genetic variability of cannabis, you’ll want to employ a different irrigation strategy to optimize their performance: - Varieties that are predisposed to larger intermodal spacing and plant height overall should irrigate frequently. This is a vegetative cue and will encourage shorter intermodal spacing and a more manageable plant height - Varieties that are predisposed to shorter intermodal spacing and plant height could encourage larger internodal spacing and height overall by feeding their plants infrequently, with larger shot sizes. Sometimes the genetics will still overshadow any strategy you throw at it, like the stout variety pictured below If you want to learn more crop steering from experienced growers, you can click the link below to buy my crop steering course for 50% off as a presale special! Advantages of Open Field Tomato Farming Tomato farming plays a crucial role in agriculture, with open field cultivation gaining traction as a preferred method. This traditional technique involves growing tomatoes in expansive open areas, offering farmers numerous advantages. In this piece, we'll delve into the merits, considerations, and optimal strategies for successful open field tomato farming. Benefits of Open Field Tomato Farming 1. Cost-effectiveness: Opting for open field tomato farming minimizes the need for substantial investments in expensive infrastructure or high-tech solutions. By utilizing basic equipment like irrigation systems, hand tools, and protective measures, farmers significantly cut down on initial expenses. 2. Abundant sunlight: Tomatoes thrive on ample sunlight for optimal growth. Open field farming ensures continuous access to sunlight throughout the day, fostering robust photosynthesis. This abundance of sunlight enhances the color, flavor, and overall quality of the tomatoes. 3. Natural pest control: Embracing open field farming facilitates natural pest control mechanisms. Predators like birds and beneficial insects play a vital role in managing pests, fostering a balanced ecosystem within the field. This approach diminishes the reliance on chemical pesticides, promoting environmental health and preserving produce quality. #agriculture #indianagriculture #farming #tomato #ayomideiyiola

Excellent breakdown of Nanobubbles in lettuce production
Science communicator 🔬 | Plant & soil health expert 🌱 | Doctor of Medical Science 🎓 | European Climate Pact Ambassador 🌍 | Keynote speaker 📢
Effects of nanobubbles on hydroponically-grown lettuce 💦🥬 💧 Maintaining proper water quality can significantly affect yield characteristics and foster a healthy environment in hydroponic systems. 📊 SCIENTIFIC TRIAL An experimental trial has been carried out by Proefstation Research Center (Belgium) Lettuce cv. Fairly grown in hydroponics. 🔎 STUDY HIGHLIGHTS The use of nanobubble technology to maintain oxygen levels at 20 ppm affected the following aspects of plant growth: -> 43g (↑11%) increase in head weight compared to the control and a 35% increase compared to the saponins treatment -> Improved root health and architecture formation -> Consistent growth metrics throughout the entire hydroponic system 💡 Water super-saturated with nanobubbles is characterized by higher dissolved oxygen levels, promoting root health and reducing harmful pathogens. 📈 OTHER BENEFITS The application of NB technology can help to maintain productivity in hydroponically grown vegetables: ✔️ Healthy root systems -> improved nutrient uptake and disease resistance ✔️ Biofilm control -> cleaner irrigation systems with fewer chemicals and less clogging ✔️ Improved oxygenation -> decrease of oxygen-averse pathogens (Pythium, Phytophthora) Image: summary of the effects of nanobubble treatment on lettuce cultivation (based on the materials cooperatively provided by Moleaer Inc.). #water #irrigation #agriculture #horticulture
