For those of you who think that full-stack developers are usually proficient in one area either backend or frontend. I would like to ask, have you ever heard about any singer who is singing and playing the guitar at the same time? Have you ever heard and seen any singer who is singing and dancing at the same time? Just like any other skills both the backend and frontend can be mastered with enough time and practice.
You shouldn't hire a full-stack developer. From my experience, full-stack developers are usually proficient in one area (backend or frontend), and another could be worse. Plus, their multitasking causes lower development speed. Additionally, such specialists are harder to hire, and they ask for higher compensation. So, if you want to balance code quality, development speed, and budget, consider hiring separate specialists for each part of your project. Key Responsibilities Work with senior technical stakeholders to design and implement robust backend and frontend solutions. Advocate for code quality and rapid business value, while creating exceptional software and user experiences Drive architecture and implementation decisions, getting hands-on with code to bring features to life, squash bugs, while consistently keeping tech debt in check. Mentor and guide other engineers to develop & grow. Go outside core expertise, strengthen skills with other technologies and learn more by solving problems that AI coding tools don’t immediately solve. Work with CI/CD, AWS, and Github workflows for automated and efficient releases.
