We officially kicked off #Cohort7 on Monday at Vision Health Pioneers Incubator ! Our program is rooted in the lean startup methodology, focusing on Desirability, Feasibility, and Viability. We believe this approach is crucial to avoiding early-stage failures and setting our startups up for success from day one. The first 3 months are all about the #designthinking process, gaining clarity on the problem we aim to solve, and building a solid foundation for our product's final architecture. We’ll cover the following topics, user discovery, leadership, team foundation, product design, business modelling, regulatory affairs. Learning from the best is a cornerstone of our program, and we're excited to welcome our expert coaches for July: Nicola Filzmoser - Design Thinking and User-Centred Problem-Solving Laura Johnson - Needs Validation Flavia Kruse - Healthcare Market in Berlin & Brandenburg Sebastian Bernhardt - Healthcare Market in Germany We’re looking forward to an inspiring and productive journey with our new cohort. Stay tuned for updates and insights as we shape the future of health innovation together! 🌟 #visionhealthpioneersincubator #leanstartup #healthinnovation #designthinking #healthcareentrepreneurship #cohort7 #berlinerstartupstipendum #startuplife #startupjourney #berlinerstartup

📢 Finding Your Creative Flow: Why Experimentation Matters in Healthcare Startups (#HealthcareStartups #Innovation) 🩺 Just like legendary jazz musician Miles Davis and his band, who spent months experimenting before recording their iconic album "Kind of Blue" in just four days, innovation in healthcare startups thrives on a similar process. Here's the parallel: Polishing the Diamond: The studio represents the final product launch, where everything needs to be polished and impactful. The Jam Session: But before that, extensive experimentation is crucial. Think of it as the band's months of playing together, taking risks, and refining their sound. Why Experimentation Matters: De-Risking the Big Launch: Healthcare startups operate in a complex space. By "noodling" (experimenting) in a safe environment, you can identify potential issues and refine your approach before a full-fledged launch. ️ Unlocking Innovation: Taking calculated risks and trying new things is how groundbreaking ideas emerge. This "noodling" phase is where you discover hidden gems and refine your solutions for maximum impact. ✨ The Takeaway: Don't be afraid to experiment! Creating a dedicated space for safe exploration can lead to breakthroughs that wouldn't be possible otherwise. This "noodling" phase is essential for developing innovative healthcare solutions that truly make a difference. #Innovation #HealthcareStartups #Experimentation #CreativeFlow #PatientCare

What outbound strategy is best for healthcare startups? The truth is that it depends. It depends on your product. It depends on your existing team. It depends on your customer profile... It's clear what the wrong outbound strategy is though. The wrong strategy is not having an outbound strategy. Newsflash. Just because you eat, sleep, breathe your startup doesn't mean that others even know it exists. Sadly, this is true, even if your product is the perfect solution for their problem!! This week's 4th edition of Health Biz Growth's 2024 planning series helps healthcare startups understand their options for driving outbound growth. Would love to get folks feedback on what they have seen work well... and not so well in the past?! 🚀 📈 #digitalhealth #growth #HLTH2023 https://lnkd.in/gF5CWrsw

🎉 One Year Of Cross-Industry Venture Clienting 🚀 This week, the Venture Client Unit OTTO DOCK6 from OTTO invited all participants to the fifth Innovation Roundtable. This time, we were around 65 attendees. In August 2022, we initially started with about 20 participants. What a growth! 📈 It's great to see how the community is expanding, meet familiar faces, make new contacts, and share valuable knowledge. Among the participants were companies like Lufthansa, BMW Group, Miele and TÜV NORD GROUP. 💡 The corporate venture client scene focuses on identifying and developing promising startup solutions in the market. Startups gain the opportunity to test their solutions within well-established companies. At the same time, companies themselves can explore new approaches to address current or future challenges. This type of collaboration is a win-win situation for both parties. Thank you to Otto Dock 6 for organizing this inspiring event and to the participants for the exciting ideas and the exchange of information! We are looking forward to the next roundtable! 💫 PS: If you work in corporate innovation and want to join, let's get in touch! 🤝 #innovation #ventureclient #signals #roundtable #anniversary

As corporate startups need to be linked more closely to "core", monitoring startup health is crucial, says Frank Mattes. In his 8-min contribution to The Innovator's Handbook 2024 Launch Event next week, he'll address a few key points of advice for any corporate innovator. ❓ We all claim to be done with innovation theater, but what does that mean in practice? ❓ When budgets go down and urgency goes up, how does leadership view growth and financials? ❓ In this light, there's even more focus on de-risking innovation efforts- how to do that? Discuss this and more with Frank and 9 other innovation experts - sign up via https://lnkd.in/enFcWZRS #innovation #growth #venturebuilding #leanscaleup

As a startup founder, you are the CEO but also the one who does the dishes;) Cleaning up after a great workshop of business model innovation @VentureLab North. Exciting news: The BMC SHIFT Business Game is now available in a workshop format, designed specifically for solo or duo founders. The process begins with trigger questions, then moves into ideation, prioritization, and validation hypotheses. This can culminate in a SHIFT to a new business model. #workshop #businessmodel #innovation

Founder and CEO of VentureBlick, Board Chairman, Global Healthcare Leader, Investor, Startup Advisor
I’ve got to say, I’m getting more and more impressed with our global VentureBlick Advisory Network with every startup evaluation they come back with. We typically ask our advisors to answer 11 to 13 questions, which are a combination of scoring and open field questions. Considering they are practising clinicians and healthcare industry experts with many other things to juggle, short and succinct answers are what we would typically expect from them. But lately, I’ve been noticing longer and longer answers. I might even call some of them a thesis! Our advisors take so much time and care to review each startup and provide their feedback in such detail. For one of the startups we recently listed, Mobio Interactive, we received 50 reviews from healthcare professionals across 13 different countries. To date more than 230 advisors have completed close to 300 startup reviews. The feedback they provide is invaluable to startups. It can help chart their next course of action or help them pivot as needed. For investors, this feedback gives them the assurance that the innovation has a good chance to adoption and market acceptance. To all our advisors who have participated in startup reviews – a big thank you! I’ve learned so much from reading their reviews, I thought I’d share one of them with you. This is just one answer to one part of the questionnaire by one advisor 👇🏼 #advisors #medicalvalidation #feedback
