HUUUUUUUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! 🎉 ✈ 💫 Tom Savano Cocktails have just launched a new partnership with Virgin Atlantic!! 🙌 A little over a year ago, having worked with Virgin Atlantic previously to showcase our handcrafted cocktails on their upper class experiences, they approached us with a top secret project... 🤫 For over 20 years, they have had a signature clubhouse cocktail that all Virgin fans will know, The Redhead. A dreamy mix of gin, lemon juice, creme de mure, creme de cassis, and prosecco. It was never possible to serve this onboard, due to the time and complexity to mix, but it was something they had always wanted... Fast forward to spring 2023. Off the back of our upper class cocktail experiences, they raised the possibility with us of recreating The Redhead as a canned serve, allowing them for the first time ever to take it on board, and serve to customers in-flight for the full aviation experience 👩✈️ Of course, I was over the moon and beyond excited to take on this project. Having developed every Tom Savano recipe by hand myself, I was confident in my ability to re-imagine this cocktail and bring it to life onboard Virgin Atlantic, although a little nervous about the responsibility and hugeness of the ask! 😱 ... and today here it is! The result of 12 months of hard work from everyone on both sides, many recipe iterations, on-board trials, budget approvals and a hundred other things, but to stand outside the VHQ holding a canned Redhead, who's companions as we speak will be flying 30,000 feet above the earth, is a life changing moment for me. Safe to say, it's a monster hit. I was present for the Show & Tell day at VHQ for all virgin staff, and I honestly couldn't pour them fast enough to keep up with demand. Many sneaky people grabbed cans behind my back and made off with them! For a cocktail with such a cult following, it's only to be expected, and it tastes fantastic (if I do say so myself 😏) Thank you so much to the whole Virgin team, especially Shiada Drysdale for the opportunity to work with you on this, and for being such a great person through and through on every level. It's been such a pleasure bringing this to life with you, and I think we've only just seen the tip of the iceberg... we've created a monster I think! This is only the beginning...
