Last day at The smarter E / Intersolar. The first pitches have just started, so if you are still in Munich, make sure to come by our start-up stage in Hall C5.374!
Thank you for facilitating the stage and the evening event Felix Krause and rest of the Vireo Ventures team. Really enjoyed it, and great to meet you all!
Our flagship accelerator programme, LNER Future Labs, works with innovative companies to help find solutions to challenges in rail.
Supported by LNER and industry partners, the companies spend 12 weeks perfecting their pitch ahead of 'Demo Day', where they present their ideas to win a chance to work with LNER and bring their technology to help the customers, colleagues, and communities we serve.
Join technology, and science journalist Mary-Ann Russon as she speaks to some of the start-ups at Demo Day this year.
Westview’s slogan is “Building Connections ♦ Innovating Experiences,” and we recently had the honor of discussing what building connections means to us in ESTA’s Protocol magazine. Today, in honor of Innovation Day, we want to explain why innovation is such an intrinsic value within our company.
We believe that innovation isn’t just about the exciting things we can design and build, or the latest and greatest gadgets and gizmos, but also about how and why we do things. The processes we use and the standards we hold ourselves to are all reflective of innovation. Finding new and better ways to do things, asking questions along the way, and holding ourselves to a higher standard is what defines innovation to us here at Westview.

On the 12th of June, Tech South West will be holding its first national tech showcase in London, and we're very lucky to be hosting it at Howden, the new name for Aston Lark's HQ in London 🚀.
There will be a real focus on the blue & green economy - cleantech, climate tech, marine tech, agritech - and the event is set to be packed with tech innovation and opportunities that span the sector! 🌍💡
Did you know that outside of London and the South East, the South West of England has the second largest tech economy by capita in the UK? Its GVA reached £11bn by 2021, thanks to the 160,000 tech workers and 17,500 businesses across the region, according to the SW of England Tech Analysis Report. 📈
There are some incredible innovative businesses in the South West who are at the cutting edge of future possibilities. And the showcase will be celebrating just that! 🎉

A lot to unpack here.
1. There is plenty of power available for American innovation, as long as you utilize the right source. And it ain’t wind.
2. Green energy is, at best, a vitamin supplement to the needs of a first-world economy.
3. I imagine municipalities and smaller entrepreneurial firms will eventually stop pretending those methods offer any viable solutions.
4. Of course the largest tech companies in the world say one thing and do another. The rules are for thee, not for me.
5. #EnergySobriety is needed now more than ever.
💫Last year Sarah B. and I attended SXSW. The experience was eye opening and inspiring, to say the least.
🎁This year, we wanted to give back something to the event. Myself, Sarah B., Kristy Battista, and Carla Zampaglione(AKA - Legends! :) are putting together a panel to share from the heart some experiences and truths of working in this industry.
✅However, we need your vote✅ It takes a minute to register, and you need to search for our topic, "Navigating the Journey: Honest Talks on Product Development and Commercialisation" to find it and vote for it.

Hope to see you there 😊
❗️❗️Spolier ❗️❗️
"Peeling back the layers of DeepTech product development and commercialisation, this panel offers a candid look at the highs and lows of bringing complex products to market. Promising refreshing honesty, this conversation blends technical insight with hard-earned wisdom from those who have walked the path. Panellists Carla Zampaglione, Founder of Sento Solutions, Kristy Battista, Global CTO of Allume Energy, and Stephen Leahey, Engineering Manager of Exa Product Development have navigated the journey from engineer, to consultant, to founder and leader of their own organisations. Moderated by Sarah Bardwell, General Manager of Exa Product Development, you'll get a view of what successful commercialisation really looks like and learn to spot the warning signs of trouble."
