In 2023, VINCI Airports reported revenues of EUR 3.9 billion, marking a 47% increase compared to the previous year and a 24% increase on a like-for-like basis. Operating income from ordinary activities (Ebit) reached EUR 1.9 billion, up from EUR 1.0 billion in 2022. Passenger numbers at VINCI Airports continued to grow throughout the year, with fourth-quarter figures surpassing pre-pandemic levels by 0.6%. Our team undertook the first monitoring visit to Cabo Verde Airports as Lender’s Technical Advisor’s to monitor the progress of the works and meet with CVA's project delivery team to discuss the planning of the works. In July 2023 VINCI Airports, alongside their Portuguese subsidiary ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, SA finalised the financial arrangements for the acquisition of 7 airports in Cabo Verde under a 40-year Concession Agreement. The initial development projects include ICAO compliance works at the 4 international airports, and improvement of passenger experience and general ambiance. The works are being part funded through a Sustainability-Linked Financing (SLF) Framework by IFC, Proparco and DEG. This is one of VINCI Airports' very first financing arrangements of this kind, and the first time IFC, Proparco and DEG have financed airports through a SLF. To secure SLF certification, it set two sustainability targets: one involving a progressive reduction in CO2 emissions, the other involving the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme. As in previous months, passenger traffic through airports managed by VINCI Airports Airports continued its positive trajectory in August to reach 96.4% of 2019 levels. Excluding Asian airports, it rose over 2% compared to pre-pandemic levels. #PositiveMobility

Spectacular financial results for VINCI Airports in 2023: the proof of a successful model.

Ferrovial celebrates a solid first half of 2023 today, with a net profit of €114 million, up from €52 million in 2022. The company's airport assets saw significant traffic growth, with Heathrow handling 37.1 million passengers, a 42.1% increase year-on-year. Also, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Southampton, and Dalaman saw increased passenger numbers. At the end of a very positive year, all the VINCI Airports' teams are extremely proud to contribute to the VINCI 2023 excellent results. VINCI Airports' revenue amounted to €3.9 billion last year (up 47% actual and up 24% like-for-like). This was achieved through a mix of a high traffic growth and an increase in revenue per passenger. The strong push in activity turned into all-time record for VINCI Airports’ EBITDA at €2.5 billion with the associated margin at 63.2% (vs 59.0% in 2022 and 55.7% in 2019) thanks to the firm grip on expenses. These results reward the unique VINCI Airports’ model combining passenger experience and global performance. VINCI Airports has acquired a 20% shareholding in the Budapest Airport concession company, becoming its operator. The Hungarian state-owned Corvinus Nemzetközi Befektetési Zrt. owns the remaining 80%. This acquisition is part of a EUR 3.1 billion transaction, plus €1.2 billion in net debt, and grants VINCI Airports a role in managing Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, a major Central Eastern European hub with 16 million passengers in 2019.
