I think it makes sense to take a deeper dive into "Why Torbu?"
Ever find yourself lost in emails, searching for that one elusive attachment, address, or note? It's a time vacuum we all know too well.
Now imagine being stuck in traffic, it's awful but there's a silver lining. You can listen to music, chat on the phone, or catch up on a podcast. But when you can't find information you need? That's a different kind of frustration.
I learned years ago that routines matter—a structured approach can prevent small issues from snowballing. Whether it was keeping young kids on a regular schedule or maintaining my own workout regimen for rowing races, routines keep chaos at bay.
Interpersonal relationships are key too. A slight misunderstanding between two people can lead to bigger problems. No better example than my own experience with Torbu and the ups and downs of creating something new. This even involved having to navigate a complete rebuild of our system. (Damn, this entrepreneur thing can be challenging!)
Originally, Torbu set out to help coaches and high school athletes collaborate better. We realized young adults often struggle to express themselves, and we wanted to change that. Our solution focused on fostering understanding between athletes and coaches, creating routines that supported mental well-being.
However, our vision expanded. We recognized the broader opportunity—to empower teachers, students, staff, and administrations across educational settings. Torbu aims to give back time, reduce the stress of missing information, and contextualize information for more organized thoughts.
