With festival season upon us again, a PSA: If you do marketing or press for a festival, you do know the WORST thing you can do is give out the email addresses and social handles for your few remaining local journalists to each of your individual participating artists and encourage them all to bombard said journos with dozens if not hundreds of individual story pitches ... don't you? You have to know that ... right??? (If you don't, the humane way to do it is act as the sole press contact for your beleaguered journos. Work with them to quickly identify a possible angle or two. An overall theme. That kind of thing. Don't make them have to sift through every possible pitch and put them in the position of being the bad guy who has say, "Sorry, no" forty times. Setting up the false expectation that any one journo is even possibly capable of writing up all of your artists' stories just bruises their feelings and overwhelms your journos. Worse, it might just send them scrambling to cover something else. This has been a PSA. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

🌿When preforming a live broadcast, 1) Make sure your sound system is clear and, at a volume one's audience can hear each other. 2) Apologies to your audience when you are late. 3) One's title is not nearly as important as the individual's name and, the way they convey themselves including, the subject/s matter/s. 4) The host nor, the co-host should ever lie to their audience, for any reason.
