As I reflect on my time at eLuma, it’s incredible to see the growth and the milestones we’ve achieved together. Here are my top three highlights that I'm particularly proud of:
Stepping Up as Interim Marketing Director 🏆:
Taking on the role of Interim Marketing Director was both challenging and rewarding. It was about more than filling a position; it was a journey of leadership, strategic decision-making, and driving our team towards a unified vision. Holding my own in this role taught me the importance of adaptability and resilience in leadership.
Fueling Revenue Goals Through Events 💰:
One of the most tangible impacts I've had at eLuma was contributing to our revenue goals through meticulously planned and executed events. From trade shows to webinars, each event was a piece of a larger puzzle that fit perfectly into our revenue strategy. Seeing a 43% year-over-year increase in revenue attributed to these events was not just a win for me but a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication.
Mastering New Skills in Marketing Automation and More 🌐:
The journey at eLuma was not just about achieving goals but also about personal and professional growth. Learning new skills such as marketing automation, email nurturing, and website building has been immensely fulfilling. These skills have not only enhanced my professional toolkit but also enabled me to contribute more effectively to our team's success.
These milestones at eLuma represent more than just individual achievements; they signify our team’s spirit, collaboration, and relentless pursuit of excellence. I’m excited to see what the future holds and am grateful for the opportunities to grow and contribute to this incredible journey.

Looking back on 2023!
It's been a GREAT year here at eLuma.
We learned from incredible webinar guests, we attended events across the country, supported the mental health of thousands of kids, and grew our team of clinicians and their impact in the communities they serve.
THANK YOU for being part of such an impactful year.

🌈✨ June is Pride Month! As we celebrate inclusivity, acceptance, and love, it's important to shed light on the unique mental health challenges faced by LGBTQIA youth due to factors like discrimination, social stigma, and lack of support.
Depression: LGBTQIA youth are more than twice as likely to experience persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness compared to their peers.
Anxiety: They are significantly more likely to report experiencing anxiety disorders.
Suicidal Ideation: LGBTQIA youth are more than four times as likely to attempt suicide compared to their counterparts.
Our Children's Mental Health Crisis Respite Program is here to provide vital support during challenging times. We understand the importance of having a safe space for our kids to turn to when they need it most.

💚Mental Health Awareness Month💚
In honor of the “Mental Health Awareness Month” I would like to highlight the importance of therapy and asking for help. Many people refuse to accept that they need help or simply think that they have nothing to talk about.
Most of the time this is far from true. In other words, even if you truly think that you do not need help or have nothing to talk about, you will end up “lifting weight of your heart”.
Therapy has the power to help you identify and work through anything that could be bothering you. To specify, therapy guides you towards finding the power and strength to overcome challenging circumstances.
Give yourself a chance to “unload some baggage” and you will discover that asking for help is a normal part of being a human being. Nobody is perfect, and we all need a shoulder to lean on at some point in life. Even if you think you have nothing to talk about, give yourself a chance, you may be guided to discover that in fact you do have many things to talk about.
💚Therapy is a true gift to humanity, and it has the power to save lives💚

🎈 Every Balloon Represents a Life Missed, Every Birthday Uncelebrated 🎈
Child suicide is a heart-wrenching reality that often goes unnoticed until it’s too late. Today, I attended a powerful exhibition where each balloon symbolises a precious child who lost their life to suicide — a reminder of every birthday they never got to celebrate.
This exhibition is more than just a visual representation; it’s a call to action. Each balloon floats not just as a symbol of loss, but as a plea for awareness, compassion, and change. It urges us to listen more, to be kinder, and to take mental health seriously from the youngest ages.
💔 We can’t bring back the children we’ve lost, but we can fight to ensure others don’t follow.
Let’s use this visual as a stark reminder: Check in on the kids in your life, be the safe space they need, and advocate for mental health resources in our schools and communities.
Together, we can make sure these balloons remain symbols of hope, not loss.

What inspired our founder, Habon Mohamed, to delve into this line of work? The answer is simple: the need for quality psychiatric services. After working as a family NP and realizing there was a lack of providers in the field, she realized she wanted to make a difference herself.
