The only way to raise money is to build a list of potential investors. You have to be willing to get out there and ask people for money, even if it’s uncomfortable, whether that’s in the form of 👉emails 👉digital ads 👉 phone calls 👉or events But a lot of #founders get nervous about this, because it’s awkward to ask people for money. 👉 When approaching family and friends It helps to frame your #pitch as an OPPORTUNITY rather than a charity request. #CapitalRaising #Startups #Entrepreneurship

There is a lot of psychology behind fundraising. Investors struggle with the fear of missing out (FOMO). They hate the idea of missing out on a world changing business, especially one that can pay back their entire fund more. Setting a deadline and using tranches to create urgency in the fundraise will help create FOMO. Jack Kuveke's satirical posts on Linkedin about startups, fundraising and the VC world are mostly hilarious and fun. However, i attended his webinar last night and was pleasantly surprised at how helpful it was. As a first time founder I had alot of helpful takeaways from it. Can definately reccommend if he plans another one, attend it! Alot of actual practical tips us founders can use during the fundraising process, no matter what stage.
