Head of Creative at Lounge | Tedx Speaker | Cannes Future Lions & Creativepool Judge | Creative Marketer of the Year Award 2022 🏆 Coach & Consultant
How to get an in-house creative job at brands like Gymshark and Lounge 💡 I was 28 when I applied for a creative job at Gymshark. Before that, I had spent 7 years bouncing between jobs in Birmingham and London. - Telesales - Photography assistant - Handbag shop - Hotel bar - Receptionist - Junior graphic designer at a chicken factory - Junior artworker at a small advertising agency - Freelance artworker - Photographer's agent In that time, I applied for hundreds of roles at all kinds of dream companies. I got ghosted most of the time. And I had a lot of rejections. But eventually, the stars aligned. I found the creative job ad for Gymshark, put a bespoke portfolio together, studied their brand values, spoke passionately about the role, got the job. The rest is history. I suppose it was less of a 'career ladder' and more of a rollercoaster. I had no idea how it was going to end up. But I knew one thing: I knew I loved being creative. I think that's the key. When you find something you are really passionate about, you can focus entirely on doing that, rather than specific brands or job titles. I think it's your passion that guides you. And as a result, I think your attitude is infectious. People really like that. Brands really like that. So my advice is, focus a little less on the brand itself and really invest in you and what you enjoy doing. If you can do that, and get really good at it, you'll probably find that brands will start to approach you. #creativity #careeradvice

250 Assets; 42% cost savings; 4 Shoot Days; 2 Toolkits; 1 Awesome Cat. From my first interaction with the MPM Products Ltd team, they’ve been a brand I’ve wanted to work with, after all, their products are always in my house to keep my pooch happy and healthy! Across 4 shoot days, we captured 140 images and created enough content to deliver 118 video assets that they could roll out across both the UK & US markets. It was great to hear that not only did we manage to get a huge amount of assets out of the production; but the content performed exceedingly well too with 3x better performing CTR on the motion ads. All of this was made possible using a more strategic approach to production; something we’ve just launched a guide on, to help brands & agencies better prepare for shoots to make the most of their production spend. Huge thank you to the entire team that brought this project to life and to our wonderful clients that gave us the opportunity to work on the piece. Owner/Creative Director: Certified Event Designer helping corporate, wedding, & social clients transform event spaces|Specializing in premium draping, customized stage decor, and theme props
Are you planning an event and wondering about the difference between an event designer and an event planner? Let me help you understand! An event planner focuses on the logistics of an event. They are responsible for coordinating vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day of the event. On the other hand, an event designer focuses on the aesthetics and overall design of the event. They work on creating the atmosphere, selecting color schemes, and choosing decor elements that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. Both roles are essential to planning a successful event, and it's important to work with individuals who specialize in each area. By hiring an event planner and an event designer, you can ensure that your event is not only well-organized but also visually stunning. #eventplanner #eventdesigner #eventplanning #eventdesign #eventdecor #eventpros

There are 8 key benefits of having good photos of your team, your business and behind the scenes of how you work together and with clients. 1 - Capturing the human element - Authentic photos, not polished and posed but candid and real, humanise your brand. 2 - Behind the Scenes of Leadership - Gen Z want to work for companies and leaders whose values they share so its important to showcase those. 3 - Branding beyond the logo - It's about consistent storytelling, reinforcing your brand identity through all your clients touch points. 4 - Recruitment Magic - Compelling photos offer a glimpse into your workplace culture, showcasing the essence of your team and making your company the irresistible choice for the next big talent. 5 - PR-Ready Moments - A press release without visuals is like a story without a soul. 6 - Social Media Gold - Empower your leadership team, and employees to post about the company, its those, the culture and the wins and pair it with quality content. 7 - Celebrating diversity and inclusion - Photos capture this diversity, showcasing the unique individuals who contribute to your success 8 - Marketing Collateral Magic - Professionally captured photos breathe life into these materials, elevating the overall aesthetic appeal and leaving a lasting impression on anyone who engages with your brand. Videography is more than just recording what happens at an event; it’s about capturing moments that you can relive and cherish forever. Setting the right expectations with the videographers is a primary step to ensuring things run smoothly. It helps to ask questions like the number of videographers to expect, cost along with an itemized breakdown, post production details, and video specific requirements. Also, clarify key information like the agenda, camera settings and positioning, timings, equipments and type of video content required, certain venue locations to cover at all times, session recording expectations and any other considerations you might have as per the event. These videos are perfect for promotional content, training purposes, and even boosting the company's social media presence. Just imagine the impact of a compelling highlight reel showcasing conference keynotes and enthusiastic attendee reactions. It catches the nuances that photos often can't, ensuring that the essence of an event lives on. Next time you plan an event, think of investing in a good videographer; it’ll be worth every penny. How to turn corporate videos into visually compelling storytelling? Through the artful balance of seamlessly incorporating cinematographic shots around the main subject, showing, rather than telling the story of the interview. Curious about what we mean? Take a look at our content created for Prada Group, showcased as the keynote video at Adobe Summit 2022 Just like the summit itself, which brings together marketing leaders and creators to explore opportunities for growth and development, this video is the result of bringing creatives and executives together.
