Asking for a friend - for sure 😁 I would like to know if there is a solution to set sharing links (documents, lists, whatever) to expire after a certain time. I know there is a setting configuration in the SharePoint Admincenter, but only in combination with anonymous links. If you configure the sharing policy to allow anonymous access, then you can set the link to expire after a certain ammount of time. But I need a solution without anonymous sharing links, I need it with specific people with a time period that I can specify when the link becomes invalid. Does anyone out there know a solution, feature, security setting, purview, license, 3rd party tool that can help with this requirement? Cheers and thank you all! #SharePoint #Microsoft365

As I work with clients and help them migrate to SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, one of the frequent requests after we set up security and permissions for the sites is usually a request to 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁. There are several ways to achieve this in SharePoint. However, most require such capability to be set up at the global/admin level. The technique I would like to describe today 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀. See the steps here: https://lnkd.in/girQF2kj #SharePoint #Microsoft365
