Understanding the exact space requirements for different poultry species is like organizing a parking lot for various vehicles. Just as cars, trucks, and motorcycles need different amounts of space to park comfortably and safely. Different types of poultry need varied amounts of room to thrive. Let's touch the basics 1) Laying hens(floor system): Needs 3 to 4 square feet per bird to roam and stretch their wings. 2) Broilers: require 2 to 3 square feet per bird to grow and thrive. 3) Turkey: require 5 to 6 square feet per bird to accommodate their impressive size and stride. 4) Quails: need 1 to 2 square feet per bird, efficient and compact! 5) Ducks: require 3 to 4 square feet per bird. Aside the water area. 6) Geese: Needs 4 to 5 square feet per bird. Aside the water area. Now Let's do a Simple Calculation for your 100 Laying birds, Per bird requires 3.5 Square feet (average) 3.5 Square feet × 100 birds = 350 square feet for 100 birds... Think of two number you can multiply that will give you 350 I will be Multiplying 20 × 17.5 = 350 square feet Meaning My Pen should be 20 feet Long and 17.5 feet wide to accommodate 100 Layers Comfortably You can repeat the process to calculate for other Poultry species...
