Batteries are COMPLEX. Making them cost-efficient, safe and sustainable is our joint goal.   But whats the fastest path? While competition drives innovation, rivaling for the best solution, the big hurdles sometimes require joint forces through collaboration/cooperation.   At @eLab, we support competitors, but we even more try to bring together competences from research and industry for the cooperation on urgent topics and shared success! Delighted to share that we've another paper published. In Managing Safety on the Factory Floor: A Computer Vision Fusion Approach, we show how lasers can be substituted by CV allowing close human-robot collaboration work that leads to increased performance. Huge thanks to my fellow authors, and to Sarvesh Pimpalkar Mike Morrissey Dara O'Sullivan Shane O'Meara and team at Analog Devices for providing me with the opportunity to lead the HRC CROSS Innovation Project co-funded by Enterprise Ireland on which this paper is based. Resolvent at: "Nordic Regional Battery Visit April 9-10th 2024 in Mariestad/Skövde" I just returned after two exciting days at The Nordic Regional Battery Visit in Mariestad/Skövde. Thank you for all the exciting presentations and conversations. Resolvent was present with a stand, posters and quick pitch on how to gain a competitive advantage! Resolvent's main technical point at this conference is that we can offer multi physical simulation models of battery systems. By including the different degradation mechanisms deep technical understanding is gained. This is key to optimization of the design, production processes and operating conditions. Optimal performance (e.g. lifetime) and limited resource usage result in a competitive advantage.

I am presenting at the https://lnkd.in/gUd3WF3g conference, and am on a panel on mobility solutions for the 21st century. The following is a description of my planned presentation: "The title of my piece will be ‘Houston, we have a problem’, and will look at the fact that while we have all sorts of solutions for the 21st Century, we do not actually have any that are working together at scale to deliver the sort of emissions reduction that we need from transportation. I will talk about the things we know for sure that ain’t true, and how we need something more comprehensive than the current scattergun approach to reducing fossil-fuelled VMT (VKT) in the face of incredibly low marginal cost of operation of the private car. I will call for a very well coordinated and well funded research approach that lifts us from the single solution/single trial/discard on failure/pretend it didn’t happen methodology to the sort of experimentation that allowed a thousand failures but led to the successful development of the electric lightbulb. I will ask for establishment of a task force to bring this program into being with international leadership and urgency."  If you have read this far, you have formed an opinion: you agree with me or you do not.
