I listen to you, then I guide you through the options--from content & design, to implementation & maintenance, to help put what you offer in front of the right people to spur them to action. B Corp and NYS WBE.
I took a whirlwind trip to NYC to see my daughter at the Manhattan School of Music and to attend the Williamstown Theatre Festival Gala. Between those two things, I had free time. Free. Time. Time. Walking without rushing, planning without considering, or even enjoying without thinking is counterintuitive. And yet, here I am being very not-industrious, and I believe I am doing something. I am honoring my parasympathetic nervous system, gently blocking out the central nervous system's instinct for incessant flight or fight responses. I am laughing at pigeons, cooing at dogs, and admiring the shapes, paces, and chemistry of the strangers moving around me. In this lower-stakes slice of time, I am recklessly allowing my joy to brim over. Ironically, on my way here, I was very emotional—part of the paradox of raising and loving kids is feeling whole while forever missing a part of you. Back to the idea of industriousness, allow yourself to deconstruct your idea of it, consider that idleness can be a good thing. It's neither feasible nor effective to constantly be on. My challenge to you: Make time to not do. Do this not doing for long enough that you stop thinking about what you would normally be doing. Continue until you feel something different bubble up. Stay strong. Seal it in. When you go back to what you always do, I guarantee there will be a shift. Second challenge: Pass it on.

The science of art... or the art of science? I have long been fascinated by ground motion generated by concerts and sporting events.
Taylor tremor seismo-art. Each panel shows horizontal ground motion caused by fans dancing to each song at Taylor Swift’s Wembley, London concert. Up-down on your screen = north-south; left-right = west-east. The size of each dot is proportional to the level of ground motion.

I have such a wide taste in music. Like seriously, if we've never talked music, we should. This live performance by Black Sabbath from 1970 is so amazing. Thanks to Greg Dohler for bringing it up in conversation over lunch today. Greg's a great photographer and friend, and it was great to commiserate about this awesome performance. What does this have to do with business? Black Sabbath was panned by the critics of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Rolling Stone said they were "Like Cream! But worse." But watch this film, and you'll see that from a performance point of view, they're amazing. They were operating on a different level and totally misunderstood by the prevailing opinions. Isn't that our dream as business owners? To press beyond, to be on the cutting edge of our industry? To innovate and grow? Final thought: if my dream as a business owner had a soundtrack, I'd definitely want Bill Ward playing the drums. Good gravy!

High Performance Coach and Author at J1Coaching. In essence, helping people. Coaching individuals and teams across all industries and sectors. Loving what I do.
This is such a great story. Could you imagine doing your job in front of 14,000 people tomorrow?? This singer substituted for Olly Murs last night, standing in at the last minute as support act for Take That. Being a last minute substitute means less time to prepare but less time to get worried. Daniel Rooney said "I was more just focusing on what songs to sing. I was more excited than anything else.” Two things here: 😮 Excitement and anxiety are very similar feelings. It’s easy to go one way or the other. Go for excited if you can! It helps 🎤 Just focusing on what you are doing is a really good strategy. Focusing your attention on what you can control is also helpful Next time you are in a situation that could be nervous for you, try seeing it as exciting and focus on what you can control. https://lnkd.in/eCX-cyGf

In a Gotham-like city, a severe water shortage caused by a 20-year drought has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities regulated by a megalomaniacal company, Urine Good Company, that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Find out more about Urinetown, The Musical playing at RADA from 30 May: https://bit.ly/3TU8IC4

This post is for those who have not been involved in cultic groups but have been members or still are members of a range of different groups such as mainstream churches, sports groups, music groups, drama groups, Mum's groups and so on. The survey does take quite a time to complete - the actual time depends to some extent on your answers. Please do complete this survey if you can and repost it to your own followers. Still processing this trip to New York. 🤯 The amount of work that went into this show was incredible. My role was music supervisor, helping design & mix the show music. Finding the balance of songs that worked for PrettyLittleThing.com as a brand and also songs that worked for what Naomi wanted to represent. And of course I put 2 of my own music productions in there 😎🎛️ (tracks 3&4) What an amazing memory and such and incredible team I work with. Grateful 🙏🏼 https://lnkd.in/emN8sZHk
