"We're so focused on input metrics like CPM that we lose sight of the output metrics—the actual results of a campaign—and it's the output metrics that should really matter." TRUSTX CEO David Kohl was in illustrious company on stage yesterday at The 614 Group's #BrandSafetySummit in NYC on a panel entitled, Made for Advertising Sites: Friend or Foe? The general consensus? Foe. But, do we always know MFA when we see it? And, can we ever hope to filter it out when AI is spawning hundreds of new MFA sites per minute? All fair questions, but we stand by the best practice of an inclusion-based approach. It will require more self-education on all levels, more ongoing scouting to ensure that small-to-medium and minority-owned publishers don't get starved of ad revenue. More effort all around. But if there was ever a worthwhile investment in media strategy, it's this. #NoMFA #brandsafety

As I am sure the leaders of the agencies and enterprise businesses who have been short-listed would tell you, entering awards is worth persevering with. I know some of my network might be a bit cynical about awards. I would push back against this. Awards are a bona-fide and effective means of: 1) generating brand salience and (potentially) inbound leads for your agency. 2) giving your sales and outbound campaigns another important evidence-based piece of collateral. 3) gaining advantage in the battle for talent and your recruitment strategy. 4) celebrating with your teams just how good you are as an agency or enterprise insight function. What a ride SXSW 2024 was! I'm still buzzing from the incredible energy and ideas that flowed during the events I participated in. Have you recovered yet?! 😴 One of my favorite events that I was honored to be invited to take part in was the roundtable hosted by UK Advertising and the American Advertising Federation. It was a privilege to represent Dos Mundos Creative alongside some of the brightest industry minds from across the globe. 🌟 Using the power storytelling for good is one of my biggest passions — so I was thrilled to nerd out on the potential for how we can make a kinder world a reality with our table.
