The ever-shifting world of cybersecurity can seem daunting to newcomers, said Rachel Beard, Distinguished Technical Architect for Salesforce. But she doesn't want that to dissuade hopefuls from pursuing a future in tech. "There's no 'done' with cybersecurity, and I don't say that to scare anyone off of this career," she said. "I just want any future cybersecurity professionals to be excited for a career full of learning, problem-solving, and teamwork because that's really what's required for this role." Rachel dives into why she finds her role at #Salesforce so fulfilling on this week's episode of Speed Data! ↓ 📺 YOUTUBE - https://hubs.ly/Q02DpJ5z0 #Podcast #Careers

WE'RE AT 2K!🎉 I used to be one of those who thought LinkedIn was reserved for professionals who are very successful. It seemed like a platform where everyone showcased their achievements and projected an image of perfection. Due to this perspective, I had little interest in LinkedIn, not realizing that I was inadvertently holding myself back. I remained blissfully unaware of what my peers were up to, the connections they were forging, until I finally decided to join the platform. Even then, I did not take it seriously; it just was not on my radar. However, the very platform I had been nonchalant about is now where I am celebrating a significant milestone; Getting 2,000 followers, my highest following across all social media platforms. My journey on LinkedIn has taught me a valuable lesson: the knowledge you possess, no matter how little, is what someone might need to trust and connect with you, setting the stage for your growth. So, just share that content- we like to learn from you. Here is to my two thousand incredible followers! Thank you for being part of this journey. With you, I am confident in sharing more value. Together, we venture into the next phase, bigger, stronger and better! Have a great Week ahead. A friend recently asked why I started posting on here every day even though I'm not someone that is typically interested in social media. The honest answer: The CTO of a company I really wanted to work with said that the "thought leadership" of the CEO of one of our competitors was the difference maker. I didn't really know what that meant at the time. It was surprising to me since I knew our company would be able to get great results for them and the CTO already said his company "loved our proposal". I'm glad this happened though, and not only for the sake of deal making. Before you can write a post, you have to do research and gather your thoughts effectively. The more you do it, the more comfortable you get, the better you get. Posting on here has led to new and stronger relationships within the Las Vegas tech communities. I've met cybersecurity industry peers on here that I respect, learn from, and genuinely like. I've been able to help new businesses and a dozen individuals or so with their cybersecurity and that's been a valuable experience. If you're someone that doesn't post much or at all and think you should start, I recommend giving it a go. It'll either lead to good things or you'll be able to say you tried it for a while and it's not for you. #cybersecurity #socialmedia #content
