Safety storage of onion, ginger and garlic: 1. Onions: Keep them in a cool, dry, and ventilated place like a pantry or a mesh bag. Avoid storing them near potatoes, as they can cause onions to spoil faster. 2. Ginger: Store unpeeled ginger in the refrigerator in a paper towel or a perforated plastic bag to maintain freshness and can last for up to 1 month in the fridge. Peeled or chopped ginger can be stored in an airtight container with a little bit of moisture in the fridge for a few 2-3 weeks. Unpeeled and uncut ginger root will last up to 3 weeks stored on the counter at room temperature. 3. Garlic: Store garlic in a cool, dry place with good air circulation, like a mesh bag or a garlic keeper. Avoid storing it in the refrigerator, as it can cause sprouting and mold.
