Oil and gas discovery!     The Vår Energi operated Cerisa exploration well in the Gjøa area proved successful with estimated gross recoverable resources of between 18-39 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe)!     👉 https://lnkd.in/dbF8kwrW     Hats off for our excellent Vår Energi team! This is the fourth discovery in a row in the area, with a total of up to 110 mmboe recoverable resources close to the partly electrified  Gjøa platform, operated by Vår Energi – clearly demonstrating the potential to unlock further resources in the area.     This discovery will now be assessed together with the other discoveries around Gjøa, where development projects are already ongoing.     The discovery is a testament to our consistent and successful exploration strategy, targeting high value barrels close to existing infrastructure     Proud of the One team working safely together, thank you to all involved!! #energy #exploration #discovery #oilandgas #vårenergi

DNO ASA, the Norwegian oil and gas operator, today announced completion of a second well delineating the play-opening 2023 Heisenberg oil and gas discovery in Norwegian North Sea license PL827SB. Encountering a six-meter oil-filled Eocene sandstone reservoir, the well confirmed the Heisenberg volume estimate of 24 to 56 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe) with mean of 37 MMboe. The license partnership, which in addition to DNO Norge AS (49 percent) includes operator Equinor Energy AS, is studying a tieback of Heisenberg to nearby infrastructure, potentially jointly coordinated with the development of other recent discoveries in this highly prolific area surrounding the Troll and Gjøa production hubs. DNO has a strong area position. Earlier this year, Cuvette (DNO 20 percent) marked DNO’s eighth discovery in the area since 2021. The Angel exploration prospect, which was the main target of the license PL827SB well, was found to be mainly water wet although the well encountered non-commercial volumes of gas.  For the full release, visit www.dno.no

Australian junior Finder Exploration Pty Ltd (ASX: FND) has continued a recent run of #exploration success in the North Sea as new studies have identified sizeable potential resources at the Boaz prospect. Finder and P2610 licence joint venture partner, Norwegian #energy giant Equinor, estimate that Boaz may contain gross mean prospective resources of 748 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas and 81 million barrels of condensate. https://lnkd.in/gnpWwVT8

LLOG encountered #hydrocarbons in a Who Dat East exploration-appraisal well in #GulfofMexico, said partner Karoon Energy. Once drilling is complete, the well will be suspended as a potential future producer, pending results of further analysis. Strong performance by Vår Energi in Q1 - delivering a record high production of 299 000 barrels of oil equivalent per day for the quarter. Representing safe and efficient operations. 💪     Our key development projects, Johan Castberg and Balder X, continue to progress, with targeted start-up’s maintained. Furthermore, 7 of 8 sanctioned projects with start-up’s by end-2025 are more than 50% complete.     Also proud to report that our exploration efforts continue to generate positive results, with the discovery of Ringhorne North in the Balder Area, a potential tie-back to existing infrastructure.     We completed the Neptune Energi Norge acquisition in January and expect the two organisations to be fully integrated within the second quarter, enabling the realisation of synergies of around USD 500 million post tax over time.       Full report on our web-page.   #oilandgas #energy #growth #valuecreation

Driven by a new modular upsized design and a full slate of customers for its Saguaro Energía LNG export project, Mexico Pacific Ltd. LLC is honing in on a final investment decision (FID) next year.
