Hello Team, Problem: Customer (bulk storage terminal) called me and asked for 500 GPM on off-loading alcohol from a railcars. Well, I asked do you need stainless--yes. Customer said I am competing against a 4" Viking stainless pump--Viking on alcohol ???) Blackmer at the time had no 4" stainless. So, I asked---Are you feeding it with a big line? 8" header--4 rail cars dumping into this header at one time. So I took (2) Blackmer STX3 pumps Blackmer, a PSG brand and ran them in parallel off of the same motor. No curve to look at, so I Doubled the HP. I figured, double the flow, constant torque= double the HP. Worked like a champ. Both pumps running near 780 RPM--pumping near 450 GPM (both together) of alcohol at a bulk terminal unloading bottom drop rail cars. I put Atra flex coupling on it so they could replace one pump without disturbing the other. Used a C-face NORD box for alignment. NORD Drivesystems Pvt. Ltd. Solution: There are Three keys to making this work right. First, make sure you have a large enough line to feed the beast(s). Customer had an 8" header with plenty of product dumping into it. Second- piping the pumps properly is a major key. You have to feed each pump off of the 8" line individually with its own feed line -(4" down with eccentric reducer to 3" at the pump with a slight drop in elevation from the main line). They do not share fluid very well--the pumps will fight each other. If you run one line and branch off, one pump will starve the other--leads to cavitation. Piping is key to make them happy together. Third---you have to set the pumps in the middle of the railcars. If you put them on the end of the rail-run, the first car will empty faster, then the second. They all do not empty the same into the header. Does not make sense, but it is true. I love physics. It is tricky to make these pumps run and play well together at full RPM---But it can be done. Always thinking outside the box at Gas Equipment Company. Give us a call. We said that there's no quality where there's no accurate RCA and by the way it's costly to the business. This means that there's no excuse for not being cost contious while handling all tasks assigned. Imagine this specimen failing thrice, consequently being replaced thrice. How much did is cost to buy the three sets? Equipment downtime caused by these three failures means no revenue was generated and the total time spent working on the failures. What if the first RCA was done accurately? Is the fuel pure & clean? Is the OEM filters being used? If the injector pump is receiving the correct fuel, is it delivering the right pressure to the injectors at the correct pulsation? When was the pump last serviced according to OEM manual? ...

International Marketing Expert | Valves Specialist for Middle East, Asia ,Europe,& Ameria | Winning New Customers with Innovative Valve Solutions"
In April, we handled a valve leakage quality issue. Early in the month, we received a customer complaint about several valves leaking. Concerned, we immediately booked a flight to the customer’s site for testing. This video shows the testing process. After an hour of repeated tests by our engineers and the customer, we discovered the issue was due to excessive torque, causing improper sealing. We had recommended using a gear operator for DN200 and above, but the customer chose handles to reduce costs, which led to the leakage. After identifying the cause, we discussed the solution and decided to provide the necessary gear operators free of charge. The customer was very satisfied with our quick response, problem-solving attitude, and solution. This incident has deepened my understanding and confidence in our company’s service. 😊 #CustomerService #QualityControl #ValveSolutions #Haolivalve
