Inspections through to March - HSE ebulletin - metalworking inspections: looking after your metalworking fluid HSE will be inspecting manufacturing businesses that use metalworking fluids or ‘white water’ in their machining processes until March. Not completing regular fluid quality checks is one of the common reasons that manufacturing companies, particularly smaller businesses, fail compliance. Maintenance of fluid quality is key to controlling risk Water-mix metalworking fluid deteriorates over time and can become contaminated with harmful bacteria and other contaminants. Irritated skin and lung problems don’t have to be associated with working with metalworking fluid if you take the right precautions. Maintaining fluid quality also improves machine performance and quality of machined components. Fluid quality checks are simple to carry out with some basic equipment - visual and odour checks should be done daily and concentration, pH and dipslides should be weekly. If results are outside of recommended levels, you should take corrective action. Follow the link for more information..

The Importance of Lifting Equipment Inspection and HSE Safety Trainings Understanding Lifting Equipment Inspection Lifting equipment plays a crucial role in various industries, ensuring the smooth operation of tasks requiring heavy lifting. Regular inspection of lifting equipment is essential to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents in the workplace. By conducting thorough inspections, organizations can maintain the safety and integrity of their equipment while also complying with regulatory standards. Benefits of HSE Safety Trainings Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) safety trainings are designed to educate workers on best practices for maintaining a safe work environment. These trainings cover a wide range of topics, including hazard identification, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations. By investing in HSE safety trainings, organizations can reduce the risk of workplace accidents, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and promote a culture of safety among their employees. Ensuring Compliance and Safety Compliance with lifting equipment inspection and HSE safety trainings is not just a legal requirement but also a moral obligation to protect the well-being of workers. By adhering to strict inspection schedules and providing comprehensive safety trainings, organizations demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding their workforce and minimizing the likelihood of accidents or injuries on the job. The Role of Employees in Safety Employees also play a vital role in upholding safety standards in the workplace. By actively participating in lifting equipment inspections and engaging in HSE safety trainings, workers can contribute to creating a safer work environment for themselves and their colleagues. Empowering employees with the knowledge and skills to identify potential hazards and follow safety protocols is key to preventing accidents and promoting a culture of safety consciousness. Conclusion In conclusion, lifting equipment inspection and HSE safety trainings are essential components of maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. By prioritizing the regular inspection of lifting equipment and providing comprehensive safety trainings to employees, organizations can mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and foster a culture of safety awareness. Investing in the safety and well-being of workers not only protects individuals from harm but also contributes to the overall success and sustainability of businesses in the long run. Primary Event: All moving/rotating equipment must be guarded. Employee attempted to stop moving equipment but failed. Immediate Causes: 1. Lack of proper machine guarding. 2. Failure of the equipment's emergency stop mechanism. 3. Inadequate training on emergency procedures for employees. Underlying Causes: 1. Insufficient preventive maintenance: - Lack of regular maintenance checks on emergency stop mechanisms. - Failure to ensure machine guarding integrity. 2. Poor implementation of routine inspections: - Failure to identify and address issues with machine guarding during inspections. - Inadequate documentation and follow-up on inspection findings. 3. Lack of safety culture: - Absence of a proactive approach to safety. - Insufficient emphasis on the importance of machine guarding and emergency procedures. - Inadequate communication and reinforcement of safety protocols among employees and management. Contributing Factors: 1. Time and resource constraints: - Limited time allocated for preventive maintenance and inspections. - Insufficient resources allocated for safety training and equipment upgrades. 2. Compliance gaps: - Inadequate adherence to safety regulations and standards. - Lack of oversight or enforcement of safety protocols by regulatory bodies or management. 3. Organizational priorities: - Emphasis on production targets over safety measures. - Lack of integration of safety considerations into decision-making processes. Root Causes: 1. Systemic failure in safety management: - Ineffective safety policies and procedures. - Failure to prioritize and allocate resources for safety measures. - Lack of accountability for safety lapses. 2. Cultural issues: - Tolerance of unsafe practices or shortcuts. - Resistance to change or improvement in safety protocols. - Inadequate communication channels for reporting safety concerns. Addressing these root causes would require a comprehensive approach encompassing improvements in safety management systems, organizational culture, training programs, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance. #Moufidtaleb #safetyalert #hse #opentonewopportunities #hr #ressourceshumaines #seekingnewjob #recruitment

One of our most important departments is HSEQ. They are the indispensable support function whose work affects every little corner of our business. Health, Safety, Environment and Quality concerns every one of us, and the work they do embraces every aspect from document management and management system to ergonomics and external audits. The primary job is to secure health, safety, environment, and quality in our processes, and we hold a coordinating role as a link between management and the rest of the organization in order to follow up on the different goals and policies in our departments. We create a homogeneous and stable foundation for everyone, no matter the job. This means that HSEQ in many ways are involved in the everyday challenges of those colleagues working in the field, both concerning work environment, risk assessment, quality, safety, and ergonomics. HSEQ is also handling the ISO certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. The certifications are important to us as a general framework for managing the company and the way DELPRO acts in our relation to the rest of the world. #JointheDELPROteam #HSEQ #Ergonomics #Education #Safety #Toolbox #Colleagues #Isocertification #Workenvironment
