HR krte kya he sirf Rangoli ! ❌ “HR is just doing Rangoli only”🚫 💯No, HR is not just for making Rangoli but performs many important functions for the organization. In the bustling world of corporate life, HR is often regarded as the backbone of an organization, responsible for far more than just decorating the workplace with vibrant Rangoli. The main areas of HR as Follows :- 💁🏻♀️Employee Recruitment: HR is primarily responsible for selecting the right employees for any organization. They assist in choosing individuals who are not only skilled in their field but also align with the company's culture and values. 💁🏻♀️Employee Skill Development: HR conducts training programs for the skill development and professional growth of employees. This helps employees to improve in their respective fields and adapt to the changing needs of the organization. 💁🏻♀️Employee Engagement: Instead of just decorating the workplace with Rangoli, HR actively engages employees to create unity and enthusiasm among them. Employee events, team-building activities, and recognition programs are some of the efforts to make the workplace enjoyable and productive. 💁🏻♀️Performance Management: HR is responsible for managing performance standards and performance appraisals, which helps employees understand how to improve and meet their best potential. 💁🏻♀️Conflict Resolution and Employee Well-being: HR acts as a mediator in resolving disputes and addressing workplace issues while providing suggestions for the mental and physical well-being of employees. 💁🏻♀️Compliance and Legal Matters: Adherence to legal standards and compliance with regulations is a crucial responsibility of HR. They ensure that both employees and the organization are kept safe and legal. 💁🏻♀️Strategic Planning: HR plays a crucial role in creating and aligning a workforce with the organization's goals, making them an integral part of organizational planning. 💁🏻♀️Compensation and Benefits: HR designs attractive compensation and benefits packages, not only for recruitment but also for retaining top talent. HR's role is not limited to creating Rangoli during festivities. The HR department serves as a bridge between management and employees, working to create a productive, positive, and inclusive work environment where individuals can thrive. Their role is irreplaceable, making HR an integral component of any modern organization. #HRWork

Today, I'm working as an HR Generalist. People often think HR generalists only handle HR operations, but the truth is, we play different roles at different times in our careers. Sometimes we act as recruiters, other times as performance management specialists, or employee relations experts. We cover all aspects of Human Resources without specializing in just one area. To thrive as an HR generalist, you need to understand every aspect of Human Resources. Many HR professionals start as generalists before moving into a specific HR function. But even if they go back to being generalists, they can still excel. In fact, HR generalists can explore other core roles or functions too. So, it's not set in stone; I might decide to specialize in a particular function tomorrow. It's all part of the journey, and I'm smiling about it. Recently, someone mistook me for the COO (Chief Operating Officer). I corrected them, saying I'm just an Admin/HR Manager. However, looking back, I can see how my role is similar to a COO's in some ways. It's a mix of different responsibilities, from being an HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner) and thinking about the organization's growth to resolving disputes between employees and even between management and employees. It can be challenging, but I never get tired of it. My love for people brought me to this role, and even though being in HR is no walk in the park, I absolutely love it. To be an HR professional is no easy feat; it's not like being in a student union position where you fight for employee rights all the time. Instead, it requires diplomacy and a balance between the employer and employee for the organization's growth. And, as we always say, it should reflect in the bottom line. #hrgeneralist #loveforpeople Cheers to a beautiful Tuesday, everyone

Meet our HR Manager, Chris! We asked Chris about his role at Southdown, what his key focuses are, and what he has learnt in the 9 years he has been with us. 👉How long have you been at Southdown? I celebrated my 9th anniversary on the 6th of June. I started as a HR advisor, then got promoted to Senior HR Advisor, and then, in May I was promoted to HR Manager. 👉What are your key focuses in your role as HR Manager at Southdown? My key focus areas include providing the best HR service to both managers and staff that I possibly can with an eye on process improvements. I want us to be continuously looking for ways to improve services through automation, through policy development and streamlining processes. I want HR to use our values and the Southdown Beacon to develop how we work in a much more psychologically informed way so that we are supporting the business to deliver its services. I would also say another priority focus is recruitment, retention and attendance. I want to ensure that we have the right people, in the right place to deliver at the right time, engaged, well-trained and rewarded appropriately. Another priority is to also support bigger programmes/projects that are taking place within Southdown and use my expertise and knowledge to help shape and implement these. 👉After nine years at Southdown, what have you learnt over that time? When I look around over my nine years, the level of compassion I have seen, the level of focus on delivering for clients is second to none in this organisation. And I see this every time I see colleagues engaging with clients. For example, there is nothing better than to see the joy and happiness for all who attend the Xmas carol concert. Simply amazing. When I get the chance, I love to go out and about because when you do, you see the really hard and dedicated work. It's amazing to see and it's humbling actually. It's humbling to see and that's what gets me up every morning to come to work. 👉You mentioned our values earlier. What does ‘being brilliant with people’ mean to you? Listening, first and foremost. The people who do the jobs, know the job best. So I think listening is really important. I think it is about offering the best job offer that we possibly can to people, through our terms and conditions, our benefits. And remunerating and rewarding for all the hard work that everybody does. 👉Is there anything else we've not covered that you'd like to say about you and your role and how you feel about being HR Manager for Southdown? I lead a small but dedicated team of people who are all doing their absolute best to get it right and to deliver for both the organisation and all the people who work within it. They work extremely hard and I'm incredibly proud of all of them. #BrilliantWithPeople #NotForProfit #SussexJobs

Understanding #Corporate HR vs. #Plant HR In the world of Human Resources, there are two main branches: corporate HR and plant HR. These roles may seem similar, but they have distinct differences that make them unique. Corporate HR works in big companies, focusing on long-term plans and company-wide #strategies. They shape company #culture and #policies, aiming for a cohesive workforce and future success. On the other hand, plant HR deals with the day-to-day #operations of manufacturing plants. They handle local pressures, industrial relations, and immediate employee needs, often in fast-paced environments. The mindset for each role is different. Corporate HR thinks strategically and aims for big-picture goals, while plant HR needs to be practical, making quick decisions to keep things running smoothly. However, no matter the setting, both types of HR jobs have one thing in common: how they treat #people. The #experience employees have is crucial. It's not just about following rules or policies; it's about creating a positive #workplace where people feel valued and supported. Treating people well means understanding their needs and concerns, communicating effectively, and showing #empathy. It's about making sure employees have a good experience at work, whether it's through fair treatment, opportunities for #growth, or support during tough times. Comparing corporate HR with plant HR is like comparing theater artists with screen actors. Neither is better than the other. They're just different. Each has its own joys and challenges, and both play important roles in shaping the workplace. In the end, whether you're in corporate HR or plant HR, the #goal is the same: to create a workplace where people feel respected, appreciated, and motivated to do their best. By focusing on how we treat people and the experience they have, HR professionals can make a real difference in the lives of employees and the success of the organization. #hr #planthr #leadership #corporatehr #motivation #change #vision #essential #workplace
