Founder of Unloc | Changing the game for young people | Keynote Speaker | Strategist | Unlocking the leadership potential of the UK’s young people 🌟
This Alliance of Social Entrepreneurs is giving the Avengers a run for their money 👀 Ben & I from Unloc have teamed up with Rekindle School (Manchester), Young Justice Advisors (London), Conscious Youth (Huddersfield) and the Ellis Campbell Foundation (UK-wide) to put youth leadership on the map, as we head towards the next general election. We are a collective of organisations working in different ways and in different parts of the country, but with a shared common goal of delivering diverse ways to enable youth leadership and supporting young people to drive change. We are advocates of a UK in which young people are co-creators, and not consumers of society. One of our first actions as a group is to meet with Stephen Morgan MP soon to explore the role that grassroots youth leadership and non-traditional approaches to developing young people’s skills and confidence could play in the future vision of our country. The risk we face today is not with what young people who are given power or influence might do, or say, but the risk is instead missing out on the energy, talent and optimism they can bring 💥 #YouthLeadershipMatters

I help startups and SMEs to look for profitabilty and growth | Advisor & Financial Strategist | Impact Investing | Sustainability | Corporate Finance | Author
David Vélez is one of my favorite entrepreneurs, and thanks to the Fundraising School with Laura Gaviria Halaby and ◽️Andres Bilbao as hosts, key topics about entrepreneurship were discussed. Here are some of my insights from this interview: 1. #Success is not solely about making money but also about living the journey and learning from your errors. 2. #Startupculture should be established within the first 6 months of operations. 3. When raising capital, #keymetrics presented to potential investors should reflect the firm's projected results for the next 18 months. 4. Choose your investors as you choose your #team; you don't want to have troublesome individuals in your team. Don't miss this insightful #interview and let me know your comments about it!

Our mission is to create a fairer, more inclusive entrepreneurial landscape across the UK. Building the right networks is an important part of entrepreneurship, and we facilitate conversations between mentors and mentees to provide founders with the support they need at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey. This could be overcoming specific challenges or seeking more general advice. Our network of volunteers is crucial to this branch of our work. Each year, experts generously give their time to support entrepreneurs in our community. During 2022-2023, 91 volunteers gave their time as mentors and coaches for entrepreneurs. So this Volunteers Week, we want to highlight the valuable work of our volunteers, from participating in our end-of-programme Demo Days as friendly Dragons to providing one-on-one support to founders. As a charity, we rely on volunteers to assist our work and, most importantly, to help us have a significant impact on as many underrepresented founders across the UK as possible. #VolunteersWeek #Volunteering #Mentoring #Mentor #Coaching
