The #FordF150 is a huge deal. So huge that it'd be bigger than McDonald's if it were its own brand, according to #AutomotiveNews. It'd be bigger than 3M, too-you know, the multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, U.S. health care and consumer goods. For #2018, the average transaction price, according to #KelleyBlueBook, for an #F150 was $47,174. Also in 2018, Ford moved more than 909,000 versions of the pickup. That's almost $43 billion in truck revenue alone. From 2016-2018, #Ford averaged about 900,000 F-150's sold per year. If you divide that by 365, it sells 2,486 F-150 trucks per day, every day. That equates to 103 F-150 pickups every hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ford has sold 1.7 trucks per minute, every minute of the day, for the last three years. That's why the 14th-generation F-150 pickup is kind of a big deal. Plus its two main rivals were both new in 2019. Let's consider those competitors: #Ram averaged 557,000 trucks per year over the last three years, and the #ChevySilverado was a bit higher at 582,000 per year. Those break down to 1.06 trucks per minute and 1.1 trucks per minute, respectively. A little quick math will show that America buys roughly four #Detroit #BigThree trucks per minute!
