Unbelievable! what a joke! Who hired the person who is putting these ads together for new hires United States Postal Service?? I'm astonished by the latest USPS ad campaign on LinkedIn, featuring a photo of a female mail carrier over 50 with an ankle brace. As someone who has experienced a similar injury on the job, I find it ironic and tone-deaf. The ad's lack of attention to detail is striking, as it highlights the very issue I've faced - injuries and pushback from management. My experience has shown that age is often used as a scapegoat, and I believe no one, regardless of age, should be expected to work excessive hours, like 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, 6 days a week, which contributed to my injury. I urge USPS to reconsider their ad campaign and acknowledge the genuine concerns of their employees. A more thoughtful approach would be to showcase the importance of workplace safety, support, and reasonable workloads.

Heads need to roll at the Palmetto, GA USPS! This is likely to be disproportionately affecting elderly citizens who utilize the USPS to pay bills and file their taxes. Can a USPS representative explain what recourse my 78 year old family member has with regards to Federal tax filing, based on the following details? This family member (Jane) does nothing online. Jane utilizes the USPS for all bill paying and tax filing. She uses a CPA to file her taxes. On March 4 Jane sent a tax preparation packet to her CPA, via the USPS. The packet included all receipts, income statements, tax forms, medical bills, etc. Tracking today shows "Moving Through Network" as of the last update March 8. Jane did not retain copies of any receipt, statement, etc. that was mailed to the CPA. What should Jane do now? If the IRS wants to arrest a 78 year old widow for not filing taxes, we can arrange to have the TV stations record the entire process!! WHAT accountability does the USPS have for causing this type of disruption? Can a class-action lawsuit be filed against the USPS for elderly abuse? https://lnkd.in/eWkyhAU8 https://lnkd.in/eWkyhAU8

I don't really need a reason (although most candidates give one, and we have a nice conversation depending on the answer). On this Friday in August, I know what you're all thinking about. Not the beach. Not the pool. Not vacation in Greece. You're thinking about the July jobs report! If this doesn't make for good beach reading then I'll give you the condensed version: Unemployment is 3.5%. Hourly earnings rose 0.4%. LFPR (Labor force participation rate) 62.6%. What I'm seeing: 1.Talent is still hard to find and if a company waits too long, they will lose an applicant to another offer. 2. In NJ, entry level office positions (customer service, call center, etc.) need to pay at least $22/hr to attract applicants who will be skilled and reliable. 3. Temp and temp to hire staffing is slightly increasing.

Job Seekers & Job Posters The things candidates care about... 1. Location (on-site or remote) - Hybrid = onsite, stop it. 2. Salary Range 3. Boss 4. Hiring Manger If this information isn't front and center on the job posting/description, this company does not understand it's candidates, employees, or customers. Or, worse, they understand the candidate pool and are purposefully not being transparent. Beware. It always reminds me of this XKCD. I once looked up 15K universities around the world on the web, one at a time, to record demographic information. Sometimes XKCD feels like it knows me way too well.
