After recently experiencing HireVue, I cannot recommend this method of interviewing. AI systems comb through the interviewee's verbal statements the same way Applicant Tracking Software combs through a resume. When you are interviewed, every response must meet the requirement of the system; each word must be efficient, precise and without error, like a robot. You are are expected to speak to a computer as if it were human and verbal delivery must include your unique personality without seeming rehearsed. If this system uses eye tracking software the same way HireVue does, it would be unnatural, unethical and borderline illegal for those with disabilities that cannot control eye movement the way many can. AI interviewers benefit the company by reducing cost and time, but they lack humanity and many folks may not trust the companies that use them. People should not be judged, receiving a score for their responses and facial expressions. Hiring is difficult, but this is not where technology should be headed. Any applicant with an ounce of dignity should, and most likely will, refuse to be interviewed using this system. It's unfair, unsuitable and insulting.
One more tool favoring recruitment and discrimination. This time, also leaving all recruiters without a job... What happens to all those hundreds of people who will get countless interviews just to be rejected, because nobody thought of actually generating jobs with AI, but instead you just amplify the problem of favoritism, unethically filtering people through machine intelligence? I guess that happens when you trust your brain and forget your heart.
Hey there. Is Braintrust available in South Africa ?
There is major flaw in this tech . Its everything a recruiter doesn’t need from AI. Just because you can do this stuff with AI doesn’t mean you should .
You do understand this is an "AI Recruitment Arms Race" The more AI tools you bring to the recruitment process to replace the human element in the screening process. Candidates will respond with finding new ways to beat the system, ensuring their CV ends at the top of the pile whether they are qualified or not.
Love that AIR addresses the hiring manager pain points of picking the right candidate for the job, but also helps talent get interview feedback and hone their interviewing skills.
Here is the fatal flaw in this model . Most employers would think “ I want to hire someone like me “
Curious how numerous “strong matches” have never amounted to so much as an introductory call. I felt pretty confident I was qualified for these roles. Lots of competition these days to be sure, but I’d love to hear from others who’ve managed to break through. So far, I haven’t had luck using BT as a supplement.
Their job posting for an Engineering Manager is categorized as "Remote" but, the text says that the candidate has to relocate to Charlotte, NC. How you do little things is how you do big things as well.

2moWhat kind of measurements have you taken so that exploits in the AI interview process are not modifying the scorecards, benefiting those who can exploit AI in its current state. And how does it compare to real recruiters screening those interviews? Does saving time by introducing this tool into the recruitment process results in higher quality applicants being moved forward to the next stages?
