One of my habits from my policing years is that I have a good recollection of names. Arresting someone meant obtaining their full name.
Preparing a Brief of Evidence required writing all the witnesses’ names in full, including the other police officers that I would work with on that matter.
I can tell you the names people were truly given by their parents – even the most embarrassing combination.
And I enjoy using my sister-in-law’s full name to her horror; hey, Catherine-Anne Van Velthuizen.
When I began Churchill Education, I took that same habit of writing the clients’ full names on each file and then making sure it appeared in beautifully cursive font on their qualifications.
The names of many of our clients, in the tens of thousands now, still come to mind for me.
Today, in the space of two hours, I received calls here at Churchill from new clients looking for our help in achieving their qualifications through Recognition of Prior Learning.
When I asked how they heard about us they shared that they were referred from a past clients who both just happened to have used our services in 2006 – the very first year Churchill began.
And I remembered their names.
Even more so, though, I was chuffed that they remembered our name.
Many thanks to you Nick and Luke for sharing our name with your mates.
I appreciate that after all these years you thought of Churchill
