USA Waste & Recycling helps Enfield High School SafeGrad Class of 2025 gear up for their next 10 months of Fundraising, by being tagged as the most recent “Flocked Lawn”. The office of many employees and family members was surprised to arrive this morning with a lawn full of Flamingo’s that will roost for 24 hours. Flocking is a fun and time honored tradition that SafeGrad started over 20 years ago. In addition, USA has also offered a donation to the upcoming Jingle Jam auction hosted by the American Legion Post 80 this coming December as well. For those who don’t know who or what SafeGrad is, it’s a group of Volunteer parents from upcoming graduating senior class that fundraise to throw an after graduation drug and alcohol free celebration for all seniors. It’s the party that NO senior is turned away from, and the Invite every senior wants! We bus the kids to Sonny’s Place in Somers CT, and they have an all-night all-inclusive celebration with their classmates. SafeGrad committee also makes sure that the night of graduation each Senior gets swag, a personalized Lawn Graduation sign, raffle prizes, food throughout the night, breakfast the following morning and many other things to commemorate their achievement of Graduation.

Although we've caught her sleeping on the job many times, Hatfield's mascot Goose still always brings a smile to our faces, so we cut her some slack.

Throughout the years we have received many accolades that we are incredibly proud of. Now, we have some of those accomplishments on display in our main office, as a reminder to our employees of what they help make possible.
