While certain states might excel in one metric, they might lag in another. What makes a "best state" for one person or community might depend on a variety of factors, including who you ask and what they value. In a panel discussion with several public officials from across the country, U.S. News and the Global Black Economic Forum will engage in a wide-ranging and action-oriented conversation about using data to make informed decisions and build scalable and sustainable solutions for creating economic opportunity for all. While the methods are many, the most promising solutions require an all-hands-on-deck approach from the leaders in government, business, education and beyond – as well as continued pressure and accountability from a public fed up with stark inequities.
