In general, there is no Capital Gains Tax (CGT) on a property which has been used as the family's main residence. This relief from CGT is commonly known as Private Residence Relief or PRR. However, where part of the home has been let out the entitlement to relief may be affected. Homeowners that let out part of their house may not benefit from the full PRR but can benefit from letting relief. Since April 2020, letting relief has been restricted to homeowners who live in their property and partly rent it out. #LettingYourHome #LettingsRelief

A long-anticipated crisis is upon the CBI market. This is what brought us here: 1. Some CBI developers and agents start to discount. 2. They discover the gov't lets them get away with it. 3. The discounts bring them a big market share. 4. Other agents start discounting to remain competitive. 5. Thousands of people get discounted citizenships. 6. Projects selling at legal price can't compete, and fail. 7. Legal-price projects sue discounters and former gov't. 8. New gov't. promises to revoke discount-citizenships. 9. Clients begin to seriously doubt if CBI is viable. 10. All along, US/EU authorities pay close attention. There are many directions this story could take from here. None of them fun.
