Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and World Energy, LLC have teamed up on a 5-year partnership to decarbonize 100,000 mt of CO2 through the use of #SustainableAviationFuel certificates (SAFc). As BCG's biggest SAFc purchase to date, this agreement provides BCG the decarbonization solution that allows them to grow their business and meet their clients' needs, while addressing their scope 3 business travel emissions. We in DNV have reduced our emissions from air travel by 29% per employee compared to 2019. Nearly 35% of our company cars are electric or hybrid, 36% of our offices world-wide are green certified, and 54% of the electricity used is either certified renewable electricity or from solar panels. Oh and by the way ... we achieved 31.5 Billion NOK in revenue, marking a 18% growth compared to the previous year, and the profit before tax soared to 4.4 billion NOK, surpassing the 2022 figure of 3 billion NOK.

Martin Helweg, CEO, P&O Maritime Logistics, says it is important to remember that different countries and sectors started their decarbonisation journeys at different points and can follow different paths to get there. Speaking at the ADIPEC Strategic Conference, he said: "It is important that, in our conversation, we distinguish that we are not all starting from the same platform and we are not necessarily all moving at the same speed. And while everyone is moving towards the same goal, [it] is not necessarily the same roadmap of getting there. I have some fantastic news to share – we’ve won big at the UtilityWeek Awards 2023. Our work with ESO has scooped the coveted Net Zero Engagement Award, which highlights the important leadership role utilities play in helping decarbonise the homes of millions and positively change behaviour to drive lower consumption of energy and water. This is a huge achievement and congratulations go to the team and our partners at ESO. Amidst a challenging winter for energy supply throughout Europe, the ESO united industry in a collaborative effort to scale and launch a nationwide Demand Flexibility Service (DFS) in just four short months.  The scheme was a huge success. A simple-to-use service that helped Great Britain get through tight supply and demand periods, rewarded participants for flexing demand, and accelerated the achievement of net zero targets. Between November 2022 and March 2023, 1.6million households and businesses voluntarily switched their electricity usage to off-peak periods – reducing demand by 3.3GWh overall.
