Senior Scientist at Clean Energy Research Centre (Temasek Polytechnic) focusing Fuel cell and Energy Storage
Felt very honored and grateful to be awarded the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award (Applied R&D category). Our team in Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC) tackles the hurdles of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cells' commercialization using a multi-faceted approach via: (i) Innovative catalyst ink formulation and manufacturing processes, (ii) Unique three-dimensional catalyst structure design, and (iii) Direct ultrasonic spray coating of nanocatalysts onto the membrane. This comprehensive approach mitigates the high costs of platinum catalysts, enhances the durability and performance of Catalyst Coated Membranes (CCMs), and ultimately promotes efficiency. With a vision to empower SMEs and start-ups, the strategy facilitates the production of cost-effective and efficient CCMs, fast-tracking the widespread adoption of pivotal PEM Fuel Cell technology in the burgeoning hydrogen economy.
Huge congratulations to our Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC) team for their outstanding work on the Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM) Technology for the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) project. 👏🏽 Being awarded the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award (Applied R&D category), the CCM project is now undergoing scale-up and commercialisation by local SMEs. This success highlights the importance of proper identification and support for future innovations. 💯 The IES Sustainability Award was presented to a startup: Castomize, a Temasek Launchpad incubatee. Their technology, led by our alumnus Abel, is groundbreaking. Castomize's 4D-Printed Orthopedic Casts is a printed material that can change its shape predictably over time in the presence of external stimuli🧠, enabling the development of a fracture healing medical cast🧑⚕. The project also increases sustainability by eliminating medical waste associated with traditional casting methods. 🏅 In addition to the IES Awards, Castomize will be representing the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award with the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO). 🌎 Well done to all award recipients 💪, TP is extremely proud of all of you! ❤️ #temasekpoly #tpcreatingtomorrow

WE ARE GOING FOR MICROTECHNOLOGY FUTURE Next week – 7-8 May – we are in Frankfurt am Main to present our future-orientated project ideas, design and developments and their realization. We participate in the: IVAM Hightech Summit 2024 - Back to the Microtechnology Future: Yesterday's Visions, Tomorrow’s Realities The IVAM Hightech Summit is a central point in the year where companies from micro and nanotechnology come together and present the latest technologies and products as well as discuss the developments in the future. In the year 2024, we present technologies in the change of time: from fantasies in science fiction movies to actual technological reality. Which technologies were imagined or shown in films several years or decades ago? What was pure technological fantasy in the past and is reality today? We will get to the bottom of this and link science fiction films with reality as part of our conference. Source: IVAM Hightech Summit - IVAM Hightech Summit (ivam-hightech-summit.com) We are looking forward to being part of this event, presenting our high qualified solutions and engaging in lively discussions with you. #aemtec, #future, #highqualified, #microsystems
