We're excited to highlight our exceptional team lead of Production, Sebastian Theiner! 🛠 Sebastian remembers from a young age a curiosity for learning how everyday applications and machines work. This was the start of his journey towards getting a Bachelor's in Electronics from the University of Applied Sciences Vienna (Fachhochschule Technikum Wien) followed by a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from Vienna University of Technology (Technische Universität Wien). His master’s thesis focused on extrusion bioprinting, an area that he felt passionate about due to its potentially huge positive impact on humanity. Following his schooling, Sebastian joined UpNano in August of 2021 to begin a new journey with us. At UpNano, Sebastian started with the building of machines and performing field installations. As the company grew, so did his responsibilities. He quickly advanced to a deputy team lead then to the team lead of our Production team. Today, Sebastian's role involves less travel and more administrative duties, including laser adjustments on machines, team management and remote customer support. Sebastian manages a dynamic team of five and fosters a collegial atmosphere, ensuring everyone feels valued and heard. Some of Sebastian's favorite parts of the job are traveling and meeting new people, along with seeing our technology in action. Witnessing the countless ways our customers innovate with a machine he had a part in creating is extremely gratifying. Thank you, Sebastian, for your dedication and leadership. We're grateful to have you on our team! #TeamSpotlight #Leadership #3DPrinting #Innovation #UpNano

This was not my first time to visit Nanoscribe. At the welcome dinner, I met Martin who had been waiting for a while. He recognized me at first sight and immediately gave me a big greeting embrace. I was here to participate in the user meeting and give a presentation. Within just two days, from resins to printing, from research to application, participating users brought different topics and ideas from various angles, especially the wonderful invitation reports, which gave me a deeper understanding of the possibilities of this technology. Thanks to the Nanoscribe experts for solving my recent questions. Unfortunately, the time was too short and I forgot to take more pictures with Martin and the experts. On the stage of the photonic field, PHIX Photonics Assembly is a young junior who is only 6 years old but we are going to move to our new building in one week! We focus on photonic packaging. In order to achieve more diversified redirection of light in free space, we have Quantum X align in-house for microlens printing on fiber arrays, chips, etc. In addition to the standard focusing and collimating lenses on our webshop https://fiberarrays.eu/, we provide #Periscope Lensed Fiber Arrays for wafer-level testing. It was a great pleasure to connect with our users and discuss the exciting potential of #2PP during our User Meeting. At Nanoscribe, we're passionate about fostering a community where leaders in academia and industry can come together to advance the frontiers of high precision additive manufacturing. We believe to have contributed in many ways to empower cutting edge science and to support industrial innovations. I’d like to thank the attendees for their engaging participation with talks and poster presentations and for being a part of our awesome community – including fun activities and visiting Karlsruhe as the cradle of Nanoscribe.

Over 300 ZEISS Industrial Metrology employees worldwide are getting involved with A Heart for Science. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier commended this initiative at the Bürgerfest (Citizens’ festival) in Berlin, Germany. A Heart for Science (AH4S) only exists because of ZEISS employees' willingness to get involved and give of their free time: Their objective is to awaken enthusiasm for nature and #technology among young people. And who could do that better than the people who are already pushing the boundaries of what is technically feasible at ZEISS today? The volunteers pass on their knowledge to the explorers of tomorrow. Since the initiative was launched a year ago, the number of committed employees has grown steadily with more than 300 employees at over 40 sites worldwide now involved in over 30 #projects. ✅Discover more by clicking here https://lnkd.in/ddFMS6hT #metrology #metrologynews #quality #inspection #productivity #blogs #news #presse #press #release #pressrelease

On November 29, the CICAM project partners (Spanflug Technologies, OPEN MIND Technologies AG , and Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Betriebswissenschaften, TUM) attended an interesting project meeting in Munich. During the meeting, the partners reviewed the project’s current status and discussed the next steps. This brought us partners one step closer to reaching the project’s goal, which is to simplify CAM-planning (CAM: computer-aided manufacturing) for hybrid manufacturing processes using machine learning. We look forward to working closely together within the next two years and optimizing CAM-planning for wire and arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) and subsequent post-processing. Stay tuned for more updates as we pave the way for innovation in computer-aided manufacturing! We thank the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (German: Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Landesentwicklung und Energie ) and the project manager VDI/VDE Innovation Technology GmbH (German: VDI/VDE Innovation Technik GmbH) for their valuable support.
