Tourism is one of the biggest contributors to the country’s GDP and efforts definitely need to be made to assist in it’s growth. The Tourism industry took a massive knock during hard lockdown. I firmly believe that an increase in domestic tourism is one of the ways we can help grow the industry and the GDP. Domestic Tourism needs to be more accessible to the citizens of this beautiful country and all that it has to offer.
ACEO of SA Tourism, Nomasonto (Sonto) Ndlovu - "Our personal learning is that we cannot do this alone. If there is anything the pandemic taught us, it's that collaboration is key for the growth of our industry, and an industry problem cannot be solved by one individual alone.
South Africa is a destination that has such depth in terms of our people, history, and heritage."
