The vibe was electric! It was refreshing to see a spotlight on the circular economy 🌍 The live events industry hasn't always had the best reputation regarding environmental sustainability. However, winds of change are blowing, and we're seeing a promising move towards more sustainable practices. 📌 Key Environmental Challenges in the Live Events Industry: Waste Production: The omnipresence of single-use plastics like cups, straws, and utensils. Transportation: The vehicular carbon footprint - with many attendees and performers arriving by car, it's essential to push for more public transport use. Short Lifespan of Materials: Many event materials aren't built for reuse, leading to wastage. Thankfully, industry leaders are waking up to these concerns.
