Jim Scott was a Cincinnati legend, known for his voice and his heart. On and off the air, he was a constant advocate for our community, reminding us to make it a caring place. As a long-time United Way board member and volunteer, he pushed us to be better and help more people. Jim used his radio show to publicize community events and was often seen volunteering and emceeing United Way fundraisers. He believed deeply in the importance of building community. We honor Jim's legacy and his unwavering commitment to making Greater Cincinnati a better place for all.

Strategically minded communications and marketing professional who loves big ideas and a great story.
I realized lately that I might not actually be doing LinkedIn correctly, so here's an attempt to use my deeply limited sphere of influence for some actual good, based on my understanding of the argot of the space: Hey LinkedIn fam! 👋💼 Let's talk about a game-changer in our communities - 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺! 🗞🔍 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘀𝗸? 🤔 It's simple - they are the 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘀 👀, 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘀 👂, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 👊 of our local communities! 🏙️ They tirelessly work to bring us the stories that matter most - the businesses, the events, and the heroes in our backyard! 🌟 Supporting local journalism isn't just a trend, it's an 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁! 💪 It empowers us to stay informed, make better decisions, and ultimately, strengthen our communities! 🤝 So let's take a moment today to salute our local journalists 🎩📰 - the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to keep us connected and informed! It's rough out there when incompetent companies are attacking the very nature of the business (I can attest to this personally 😮💨). Shout out to groups like Arizona Luminaria, Tucson Agenda, Arizona Agenda, Arizona Public Media and TucsonSentinel.com for putting up the good fight, continuing to make people in power uncomfortable. 🌐📡 Remember, every click, like, subscription and share counts! Come check out this forthcoming conversation led by the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona. Let's spread the word and 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬! 🚀💡 #SupportLocalJournalism #CommunityStrong #EmpowerThroughMedia #LinkedInInfluencePost #MakeADifferenceToday 🌐🗞

🌟 Summer is the perfect time to give back to our community, aligning our business practices with our values and fostering a sense of purpose. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.” Let's identify community needs and find ways our business can contribute, whether through donations, volunteer work, or hosting community events. Engaging in these activities not only benefits those around us but also brings fulfillment and purpose to our team. 🌞 If you're not on my email list and would like to receive my newsletters - which cover tips for business owners on Mind, Body, and Spirit, please let me know... send me a DM! #CommunityInvolvement #GiveBack #FaithInAction #MLKJrQuote

Today is the day! For the next 24 hours, Lion's Heart Teen Volunteers and Leaders will raise much-needed funds and awareness in a giving challenge to celebrate the generosity of our great community! We aim to raise $20,000 for Lion's Heart and need your support. Your contributions can make an enormous impact. Lion’s Heart motivates teens to embrace positive social impact. By encouraging our members to volunteer, they not only build their self-confidence and compassion for others but they gain a sense of purpose and community. This is important to help build strong mental health and feelings of belonging and connectedness. What is Igniting Potential? Igniting Potential is a 24-hour Day of Giving organized by the Orange County Community Foundation to support the youth of Orange County. Lion’s Heart Volunteers is one of 24 local non-profit organizations participating in Igniting Potential TODAY, with one goal: raising donations to ensure our community's young students can achieve their greatest potential. OUR IMPACT: Since our founding in 2004, Lion’s Heart has served 19,238 Students served, and 1,855,000 hours of community service- the equivalent of $60.42 Million in savings to our nonprofits! Lion’s Heart Volunteers Goal Help us reach our goal of $20,000! Funds will support members in under-resourced communities and build more efficient, exciting technology for our members to make volunteering that much easier! Lion’s Heart Volunteers’ vision is to create a world of engaged, empathetic youth who volunteer and grow into community-focused leaders, now and for a lifetime. As more young people become advocates for their social/emotional well-being and life experiences post-pandemic, it’s more important than ever for youth to be exposed to community service and uplifting volunteering experiences. Lion’s Heart motivates teens to embrace positive social impact. Volunteering often ignites a passion for community service and discovering a life’s purpose.
