Anyone that knows me well would know that I absolutely love an Açai bowl. Ordered one from a new place at the weekend and whilst the contents were incredible, sadly the vessel was below par. Any Açai expert out there will appreciate that you need to to be able to mix the ingredients as and when you like, hence the height of this bowl was its downfall…… Anyway, as this is LinkedIn not Masterchef, I’ll join the dots for you…. I often get briefed on roles by clients who think what they are offering is all that every candidate would ever desire, but what they fail to recognise is that how you serve it up and present it is just as important. When interviewing candidates about a role, don’t leave all the good stuff until the end as you may not get the chance to showcase it. If you’re not using a recruiter that can help sell the dream, then make sure you leave candidates knowing all of the good stuff. If you don’t know what that is ask your current employees. So many times I speak to candidates that have met a great business to discuss a great opportunity but they left feeling underwhelmed. Why? If you need help with how to sell an opportunity then hit me up. All I ask in return is for a large shallow plastic bowl, some wet wipes and a shoulder bag to carry it all in. Ps. Yes that’s George Costanza’s wallet on the table 🧾💴💳🪪 #açai #vessel #broughtmyown #recruitment #interviewing

Helping leaders and professionals achieve career goals while strengthening their resilience and well-being | Guiding executives, teams and professionals through challenging transitions to change
"Tool on top of the lemon, not lemon on top of the tool." Not being a trained chef, I learn a lot from cooking videos on youtube. Like the lesson above from chef Jean-Pierre. (I'll be making Mussels Provencal for some friends so I watched a few videos to get prepared). If you have something very important coming up, what do you do to prepare yourself and get ready to really perform at your best? Job seekers, I hope you are putting in the requisite prep for interviews. Some of the key elements of preparation include researching the company, reviewing your Accomplishment stories that are relevant to the job you are interviewing for, and practicing. Practice with a friend or with your coach. Seek feedback so that you can improve. https://lnkd.in/ecdyqEPY

FRIDAY FUN ABOUT RECRUITMENT 😂 Recruitment is like baking sourdough bread. I've been baking my bread for quite some time, and I've been in recruitment for years. Successful recruitment, like perfect sourdough, requires patience, precision, and attention to detail 😎 👉 The Starter: The initial candidate pool, cultivated through job postings and networking, is like the starter's flour and water mix. 👉Fermentation: Screening and engaging with candidates is akin to fermenting the dough, developing its flavor and structure. 👉Bulk Fermentation: Building relationships with shortlisted candidates mirrors the dough's rise and flavor development. 👉Shaping and Proofing: Final interviews and assessments are like shaping and proofing the dough before baking. 👉Baking: Onboarding transforms candidates into productive employees, just as baking turns dough into bread. Oh, forgot to mention - we recruit for food production roles as well! #RecruitmentLife #Sourdough #FridayFunAboutRecruitment #Recruitment #FoodProduction
